    Very nice jmnov - congratulations.

Will be interesting to see how that sale goes. $11k seems to be pushing it a bit but let's see what the market says.

The prices are...staggering. At least I think so. OTOH, there's a LOT of hours in them. A lot of modifications must be made, and we used professional painters. Whether someone will pay for that, though, is the question. My cost wasn't anywhere near those figures, as I acquired the kit and transkit and had my friend, who is an automotive artist and modeler, do the work. He wasn't inexpensive, but it wasn't absurd, either. It's a VERY nice centerpiece that people always comment on. So, it was worth the price paid in my mind.

So, $11K and $16K? WOW!!! If they sell anywhere close, I'd be surprised. But, they are certainly well-done. But, for those prices, I think they should have legitimate slicks on and not just the street rubber.

Nice looking build. I am working on a 1/12th scale F40LM transkit with new wheels/tires/front clip/rear wing. The Kyosho 1/12th model is better than the Pocher kit anyway, even though it is smaller!!

My friend worked 6 month at full time on the LM.
Mr Maunoir wnated to offer the model to Jean Alesi (price was 17'000 CHF...) but when Jean saw the model, not knowing it was intended as a gift to him, he didn't show any interest!! So his friend decided not to make the gift...
So a few years later I have the chance to acquire it a much cheaper price, so I didn't hesitate!

Both models on ebay are way lower in quality level, I will never pay more than 5'000$ for these...

I'm also working on the Kyosho 1/12 F40 to make the LM version. I have a transkit from APM but all the body needs work the whole motor is different, everything will scratch-building from plasticard, aluminium, brass, etc...

Looks like both ended with no bids at $11k and $16k.

There are a lot of incredible showcase/centerpiece models available at around $5k to $8k.

Even considering the rarity of both the base model and the transkits plus the labour involved, 11 and 16 seems to be pushing it.

    No surprise...

Frankly, if I ever thought about selling mine, my asking price would be what I have in it. But, with things like these, they're worth only what someone else will pay for them.

$5-8K seems reasonable, but I'd have to go back and count up my invoices.
