Did it scratch or cut into the paint or just simple paint transfer?

If paint transfer you should be able to rub it off with some 3M adhesive remover.

I've had great success removing paint transfer with 3M adhesive remover, when it comes to scratches though, there's only so much clear coat to play with.

If the scratch is in the outer layer of the clear most of the time it can be sanded and buffed out, but if its through the clear or deep enough you just cannot correct it completely and it will need to be resprayed.

The way to tell is by rubbing the scratch with the tip of your fingernail, if it catches then it too deep to get out 100%, if it's still slightly smooth it can more then likely be buffed and polished out.
