Another new Hiro 1/20th scale F1 car, this time a Ferrari. The Ferrari 312 Monaco 1967 and early 1967 races 1/20th kit. I gave them the idea when I sent pictures of my half scratchbuilt 1/24th Hiro 1967 Bandini model from Ferrari Expo 2010. Thats a picture of my 1/24th model built.

If you come to Ferrari Expo 2011 you might see next years Hiro model/decal releases before they even announce them :)

To get you all in the building mood for Ferrari Expo 2011, a 1954 color video of the race.
Carrera Panamerican is the special theme for the model contest next year.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOzMe5r85ms&feature=related

Notice the 250 Monza car #22 is light red, not dark red like the car is retored to now. Leave the research to the model builders!!!:)

Steve Yuen posted photos of his Corvette C6R 1/24th-1/25th Revell model at:

    http://www.cifesystem.com/v2/c6r_gallery.html

This model came in second place 1/24th-1/20th scale at Ferrari Expo 2010 last April(yes, only 2nd place!!). Ramon Garcia from Mexico won 1st place with his Ferrari 599 superdetail.

Can't wait to see what they bring to Ferrari Expo 2011.

    NEWS:

Reports are that MG models are working on a 1/12th scale Ferrari 250LM resin kit.
Also, MASTA has puchased the molds for the Ultimate Models 1/12th scale Dino 206S resin kit and possibly will purchase the Ferrari P4 1/12th scale molds too, and plan to produce the Dino soon. MFH Hiro is working on a 1/12th F1 car still. The wife of the owner told me this over an email. Not sure wich car yet.

I wish MFH would finally release what they already have almost ready with 250MM, 250 TdF and 330 LM/B. WTF? its has been probably 5 years since we've seen prototypes.

Hey, i'm relatively new to the forum, as a poster but i have a question that maybe someone can answer me easily.

i collect 1:18 ferrari's and am often fustrated with the lack of some older F1's not being availble in that scale.

Now i found some of them scale 1:20 kits, which i dont fear building but before i build some my question is how do they look next to 1:18?

i dont own any 1:20 models so is that factor compared to 1:18 that small?

They look slightly smaller. Most of the older vintage 1/20th kits are expensive. Hiro is doing a very nice 312 1967 in 1/20th. The detail is amazing. Some of the 1/18th scale models are just as detailed though. The Alfa Alfetta 158/159 Exoto for example looks better than the Hiro 1/20th scale kit of the same car.

From what I have seen, they will look quite a bit smaller.

Masta is very small and obscure company...
Tried contacting them a few times for spare-parts In english, and in french....never got a reply....

The ultimate P4 and 206S were made in very small numbers..
40 of each to be exact, according to Joel Fumey..

    I have both

I think they had a website, but I can't find it now. You could try Hapico as he will carry them if the are released.

Here are a few more pictures of the 1/20th Ferrari 312 1967 Hiro F1 kit.

Did he buy the P4 master too?

    Masta website has vanished...
mr. Masta is difficult to reach, heard from a number of people its hard to get in contact.
He only speaks french, and emails are not answered.
I have one of the Titan Daytona's he remade as Masta and an unbuilt 512BBLM both in 1:12.

I also have both 1:12 Ultimate kits..

I bought this model master on march and I thought that for the marked another P4model over the MG is not a good thing . Too little the 1/12 field for same model car , we have already tried with the formula one from 2001 to 2004 , so I decided to buy the Dino . When I show for the first time the formula two model , during the Ferrari 50 ° Anniversary , a man told me - Thank you for make a model with the name of my brother - These words are always in my mind so it was easy , add another Dino .
Now I am planning some different version . About Masta man , I try to contact him in the last seven days but I'm not able to contact his phone number . I'm sorry .
His Daytonas looks very good .

The Ultimate P4 is the best P4 ever made in 1:12!
I also have the MG P4, its more detailed, but the shape isn't as good as the Ultimate.

Did you know there were only 40 Ultimate P4's and dino's made?
Production stopped after the first run of 40 models.

    This is mine..

I agree, the Ultimate P4 was the best ever made in 1/12th scale. It does not have chassis detail but the body is almost perfectly shaped.

I hope you make a Dino 206S coupe version also. I have the Ultimate kits and the Dino was superbly shaped. Body is almost 100% perfectly shaped. He is a very good master maker, maybe as good as Patrice deConto!!

Do you have a link for the Matilde models? I think Motoi said he would get them if they came out.
