Won't go up at all. Assume it has come off the rails.

What's the best way to get at it? Taking off the inside door panel, or going at it from the outside panel?

I can hear the motor working, it just will not move up, and it feels loose to the touch.

    Thanks

yeah it sounds like it either came off the tracks or the regulator arm has become separated. You will want to go in by removing the interior door panel.

That's what I would expect, but when I looked at a few pics of people with the interior of the door off I was not sure.

    Good project to do tonight.

    Thanks

Here is a great step by step thread on removing the door panels:

One note, I had a very difficult time putting the opening handle back on the door. It has to line up perfectly and it is a pressure fit. I solved the problem by taking the bolt that attaches the handle down to the hardware store and buying the same bolt, just about a half inch longer. I used the new bolt to get the pressure fit started. Then switched back to the original bolt to finish the job.
