I don't know who this "Dan" character is that you refer to, but I hear he is one handsome dude. Rain or shine - no thunder storm or lightning, hail, frogs and what not. We are working on a contingency date just in case.
50-50. Single dad this week, not sure what will be better on Mia and me, day at Boardwalk in the 328 or something else. Rain isn't an issue.
For those of you bringing cars in the show, Frank Imlay will be greeting you at the drive. He will direct you to the next person that will show you where to stage.
Have to miss this one guys...sorry I'm gonna miss it. I hope everyone posts some pictures. Kevin, I'm counting on you buddy!!!
http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/graph/USTX1060 It isn't supposed to rain until 1 or 2pm, and even then the percentage is only 65% likely. My car won't melt, so I'll go just for the drive in the 70 degree weather if nothing else. According to the radar on weather.com (if you click the future button), that precipitation shown in the above mentioned radar WJHMH posted is going Northeast and missing Plano. The first thing near Plano appears on weather.com's radar at 5:30.
Here are a few of the photos of what I liked at the threatening weather "down sized" show. Maybe better luck next Spring. Should have gone to Plano! Just had a tornado come through NRH/SL/TC. Street is pretty flooded, storm was intense, but quick.
maybe the Boardwalk customer that got mad 5 years ago I wouldn't let him enter the FCA show with his Hummer and 26" rims had the best car for the rain?
The rain wasn't too frequent or severe, it was just a few sprinkles. However, once the bad weather alarms went off, we all pretty much cleared out. Just as I got into Highland Park I was immediately covered in leaves and it was as if a bucket of water was thrown at me, but at least it didn't happen on the tollway. It was a good event, I enjoyed it. The interiors today are what really impressed me. The '32 Ford with saddle leather... the DB7 Volante with two-tone bordeaux and ivory leather... and the Quattroporte S with alcantara and carbon fiber for sale in the showroom were all very impressive.
Congrats Don on your 2 trophies and Will for your class win! It was a small show, but plenty of quality.
I got their when the sirens were going off. Don was pulling out,and so was a yellow Gallardo, red Pantera, and silver Murcielago not too soon after. I mainly got pictures of what was inside the building. At least I saw one GTO,the SV,2 16Ms (finally a red one!),and the 430 Challenge. I also liked the red 360 Modena and yellow Maser GT.
Excellent event & big thanks for the folks in the Boardwalk detail dept. for the quick wash. I got the Mini dirty on the drive over there passing through a construction zone at 161 & I-30, my car was covered with sand, mud, & everything else. As Jim stated I finally took home an award for British class, that low turnout really worked out in my favor. Some of us were waiting the storm out at the dealership for awhile, thanks again for Boardwalk for protecting us from that scary storm. I went ahead & made the drive back to the Panther City, it was a white knuckle journey all the way, maybe I should have stayed at the dealership a bit longer. Anyway, my photos will be up later.
