NO WAY!!!!!! I normally tell them to take a picture it will last longer or stop staring it's giving me a complex, or to stop smoking drugs and then maybe you can afford one but I doubt it. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha kidding kidding kidding I always enjoy showing my car off and whenever possible take them for a rip just to see the smile on their face. I took an 18yr old kid on the ride of his life when I was up in Cold Lake Alberta, I was able to hit 150mph with him in the car down a military runway strip.
Well said! I just posted this last week in our local NE section... 'Wish I could have made it today...but had a good reason to miss. A high school friend said her 12 yr old nephew is crazy about Ferrari's, lots of posters, Hot Wheels, etc. So we arranged a surprise...while he was playing basketball in the driveway I drove up to give him a ride. The look on his face and his jaw hitting the ground was priceless! That's one of the biggest thrills of Ferrari ownership to me. ' Another tip - I ALWAYS carry Ferrari Hot Wheels in the car...when I meet kids who are excited about the car, they always go away with a Ferrari Hot Wheels. Sure I wish they were all 355's but I'm not THAT good
A few weeks back we had our windows cleaned by a cleaning contractor. The guy had his 14 year old son helping him. When they were finished with the job he asked if i would uncover the car so his son might see it. While they were packing up I pulled here out and waited. The kid came around the corner with a smile you couldn't take off with a good dose of water boarding. While my wife handled the billing I took him out for a ride. His enthusiam made me really appreciate what I have, we should all try it sometime. We all are very fortunate, and should give back. Great post
I hope everyone got a little out of this and will try it as often as they can. It isn't every day that an average job like ourselves can change a kids life.
What a fantastic observation and post...... I made some promises to myself (and others by default) when I started flying. I have been blessed with the financial & physical ability to fly. Sharing that ability is paramount for me. Young Eagle flights are a blast and I have done several. My father & I both fly angle flight missions and the stories will rip your heart out. The impact to kids & parents is huge. The positive impact on the private aircraft community equally important. I would hope that the same principles apply to my new found foray into Ferrari ownership. There are very few business phone calls that I can not defer to make an impact on a child's life. I am not knocking the OP....however 15 minutes truly can make a real difference in a kids life...seriously. If I have a chance to tell a customer "stand by" so I can make a kids day, I'll do it every time.... I hope I am not alone with that thought. Sharing the Ferrari experience creates desire, hope & drive...and we all need that right now. Be well, Randy
