Fair enough - although without prior knowledge, the posts did look a bit odd just in isolation. The confusion was quickly cleared up anyway. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Good point - taking perspective a bit further - what you're paying for GTO's in the USA I paid for my California in Australia!!

Talking to my dealer in Perth, Western Australia, he still doesn't know his allocation yet or what Ferrari Australia's quota will be. So it seems that in some markets allocations are set and sold while perhaps in some others Ferrari is deciding on its strategy.

Thanks ... let me guess you went to UT and became a spur or cowboy, you wear a heavy starched polo and wranglers - spare me

Many friends down there that come off similar - they learn real quick unlike some others.

You have friends? And, similar to what--an unsolicited attitude like yours?

As fact, I went to Hazelwood High School, played hockey there and in college. Learned the finance and energy business after. Helped build or found at least 10 successful companies since, including one that currently operates in more than 30 countries. To that, I'm married happily and have solild, educated and healthy children.

Obviously you haven't "learned" yet, as you say.

But really, though I don't know who you are--Doug--I'm certain where I grew up, yes that's in a St. Louis suburb--we'd have locked the door and pulled the shade if you walked up our driveway.

Take the attitude somewhere else...no one, esp me, has time for it.

You wanna play who is who with the W2 - spare me along with the over abundance of your time is more valued.

Just sayin ... you chose the befit comment

No offense but guys from Ladue did NOT go to Hazelwood unless there was a sporting event against a few hackers. I seriously doubt you played college but it's your story.

Daughter at DU currently studying in SA Capetown and son at Ole Miss - solidly educated whatever that means as I went to UT and was not solidly educated.

I grew up outside Florissant--and in that area of town, we didn't have "hunter jumpers" like you suggest is your hobby, unless of course, it was some kind of kids game in the back yard.

Doubt what you wish--as if you would know, but my position was right defense, where I was able to mimmick the Barclay Brothers flying hip check on many a startled player for many years. (Sort of like pointing out your perspective on Texans (UT, starched shirts, etc) was a foolish and ignorant comment directed at someone from your own city)

By the way, I haven't had W2 income since 1987--and, no it wasn't because of dad's trust.

IIMO, here's the bottom line: you don't like the GTO, great, say so--no harm no foul.

But spare us the poor boy whinning of "I decided against buying it because it was too country club", whatever that is, esp since you apparently haven't even driven in one.

(Note: if you really didn't want a GTO or actually think its "too country club", you might want to remove "GTO" as the only Ferrari you suggest you want to own on FChat "list of Ferrari's wanted").

Opinions, fair or not, are what this forum is about. Offer them honestly and respectfully and they're welcomed--no matter.

But its totally different when you spout general and unsolicited slurs against all GTO owners--which you did with the comment: "country club goobers" or "owners are so uppity".

I'd venture most are neither. Instead, we're owners of an absolutely great car who surely don't need to listen to an uniformed lecture by non owner with a bad attitude having a bad day.

You are not even close - digress

I wanted one - I just did not want one already spec'd so past along with they wanted FRO if I were to sell ... deal breaker as when I buy something it is my right to do as I wish.

The country club remark was a comment from the posts that how much a GTO lists for :(

Now you assume I have a trust fund - yet you claim to be quite well off with educated kids. Do they now get tagged as trust fund kids ... you first tell me I am offensive and you would close the blinds if I were to enter your driveway ... things change so quickly don't they as you read further and find my wife rides and shows Hunter Jumpers and I grew up in Ladue.

Would you prefer to be better than me financially or worse off ... you are confusing me

Anyway I will not go post for post as it gets boring

My Ex Father n law was the announcer for the Blues and I saw that hip check a few times firmly planted. His son my ex bro n law and I are good friends who now lives in Houston.
Who did play college hockey ... just curious why you didn't slam me with your college hockey world :(

Enjoy the GTO - I am envious

I sincerely hope you get a chance to drive one--soon. In my opinion, they are fantastic cars--without peer in the world that I've personally experienced so far.

I made my point, and probably with more pop than really necessary. So agreed, as they say in Texas-- ya basta.

Btw: I likely listened many, many late nights to KMOX and your ex father in law. And, played on local teams with the Patrick boys as well--so maybe we banged a few times in another life. I'm still a Blues fan today over all, even if my inlaws grew up in Detroit flying Red Wing Flags.

    Best.
