Was inspired to punch up the visuals on the 458 by "polishing" up the exhaust tips and blacking out the centers:

But not to worry, the Italia will be in next year's Speed Machines line.

 

Take a sharpie to the tail-light area.

 

Probably will never see one, though - like I never saw a red 599XX

... and the exhaust surround, vents along the rear glass, the front grille - I've thought about it, but too much trouble. This was easy.

Anybody else willing to give it a try and post results?

Never saw either of the 599XX's either, any of the new speed machines, nor the garage 288 GTO's.

Oh and I figured I should mention that next year's garage series has 4-5 Ferrari's in it.

 

On Saturday my son and I each got a Reventon Roadster and I grabbed a black DeLorean.

 

I picked up some cars today at Target. There was also the white Tyrrell but I only wanted the blue one.

Still searching for those new Speed Machines! As for the GTO's, I'll find a way to order them online or something.

They are making a yellow Ferrari 458 italia in B case. This is the second color variation. They are also making a red 62 ford mustang concept and an orange Lamborghini Reventon , possibly available at Kmart November 6, 2010. I gotta get these and three others (Plymouth cuda in yellow, camaro convertible in gray, and sandblaster in white. I hope they are available at the event). They also will have four exclusive 2010 recolors

Classic Nomad- Blue
Corvette grand sport- dark blue
'56 Merc- orange
Ford GT-LM- Yellow

and some first to markets

Ferrari F430 spider*- red
Customized c3500- purple

Get to a Kmart on November 6, 2010, at 9AM, and fast, there might be TWO Ferraris to grab!

 

This may surprise you lordvader; but there is a SECOND 2010 Ferrari 458 Italia release, in yellow, coming out in Case B, the current case assortment, due at Kmart on November 6, 2010 and in some other stores in November as well. You have a chance to get TWO ferraris at the Kmart event, as long as the yellow italia is in the event case, as the Ferrari F430 Spider in Red is already one of the first to markets in that case. Otherwise, there will still be one ferrari.

 

Yeah I saw pictures of the B case on HWC forums. I'll have to get that yellow Italia, of course. It looks like there's plenty of cars to get at this K-Day. Perhaps I'll be able to get 20 cars for the mail-in.

 

I told you there was a yellow italia, wow, two Ferraris possibly in one shot. This Kmart event is one for the record books. I like that king kuda mail-in vehicle too. I also have to get the yellow italia for myself, possibly even two.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I've marked my calender and will plan to go with my son; this will be our first time. The nearest Kmart is ~ 30 miles away and probably been 10 years since I last shopped there.

I assume there will be signs pointing us where to go or does this take place in the toy dept? I have no idea if there will be a crowd so we should get there around 8:30 AM to check out the scene?

 

It does take place at the toy department and get there at 8:30 AM just in case. There may or may not be a crowd, it depends on the volume of collectors in your area. Good luck! My Kmart is walking distance from me (5 minutes or less away) so I am definitaley going! I am not missing out on the chance to perhaps own two Ferraris in one shot!

 

I got a couple of the red 458's at the supermarket last night. If anyone wants one PM me.

 

I have a K-mart about 20 minutes away and a Sears about 5 minutes away. Since Sears starts at 10 and K-mart at 9, I think I'll hit up both to see if there are any case differences. And I want to see if fights really happen at K-Days.

I just might have to do the same thing. I have a K-Mart and a Sears in town, but I don't think my Sears will be doing the event. So I may have to go to another Sears 15 miles away. BUT my plans may be changed and I may not even get to go at all.

I love 'em both. I loved seeing the real one though at Laguna Seca the last 2 years.

 

Just got the Mazda Furai, the Reventon Roadster, DBS, 68 GTO Wagon, and... sh*t..something else.

Couldn't find the 458 though. Anyone want to find me one?

 

I have yet to see a 458 myself.....

 

Anyone have an extra Mazda Furai or a Elf P34? My local Targets selection is lacking!

They are making a red Ferrari 308 gts for the 2010 all stars like the blue one, only in red! Just found out, could be at Kmart event. Watch out, this car is hard to find. Now you may have THREE Ferraris to grab!
