I didn't misrepresent you. In fact, I quoted you. Now if I wanted to complain to management I would just pick up the phone and call him. But I'm not, I'm a man, and I can fight my own battle.

Face it. You were mistaken to admonish TexasFlyer for posting what he posted in off-off-topic, and you were wrong about the subject(Cannon) and his putative airman's certificate. Now be a man, admit your mistake and move on.

Now I'm done here. Learn from mistakes and you'll be a better mod next time. There are subjects that others know more about than you. When you butt in and opine sometimes you make mistakes. It's happened to me, and it'll happen to everyone that sits behind the keyboard. Get over yourself. No harm, no foul

    Buh-bye

    Sigh.

I've been up front and above board, but you're even more stubborn than you claim I am.

The misrepresentation I was pointing out was the "and he knows it" clause. No I don't "know it". I have reasons for what I'm doing and if it turned out I was wrong, I would reverse it. I do that; but you don't know me to claim that I don't, as you've admitted.

My name is up front. If a user James Thomas Bond chose the user name jtbond, isn't his name right there? Is that a plain enough breakdown for you? Was it that hard?

I said if the record was Cannon's dad, then I was mistaken. Read back, and check. I have no interest in publishing Cannon's private address, even if other people can find it. There are enough whackos out there, that misuse such data that, even if it's public, I'm not going to make it easier for them.

My interest is in finding out if a poster is misusing the forum for personal agendas. Otherwise it is up to users to make their own posts and be responsible for their content.

I do not believe I am wrong to restrict TexasFlyer. He is an unknown quantity that admitted that he was here to be vindictive. He seems like a nice enough guy, if he spends some time on the forum and shows that he's actually interested in the forum, and not his personal agenda, then he is welcome to post anything he wants within the rules. Otherwise first time posters that are here solely to troll get banned all the time. Even in the wild-wild-west of OT.

If you have Rob's phone number call him. Not to fight your battles but to get a legitimate review of this decision. Maybe you're wrong about how he wants the forum run; have you thought of that? Frankly, if it were Rob and you spoke to him like you've spoken to me, there's a good chance you would be gone. Instead, I'll just tell you to knock off the condescending bull****.

    OK, you know. . .

I've tried to be decent and up front, open and hide nothing--yet you have everything but called me a blankety-blank liar over this airman's certificate in question, and in doing so, you've also called the feds who did the search and came to THEIR conclusions blankety-blank liars.

Now, two legitimate pilots who have offered to personally verify their identities to the OWNER of this site have asked you to verify your findings. If you're going to insinuate that I am a liar, you better put up or shut up.

Ben's address is no secret, but even so, you can blank out his address via a simple copy and paste function. Better yet, post the link you found his certificate on.

I don't know of that many current airmen who still have their addresses or DOBs listed. Both AOPA and EAA came out and advised their membership shortly after the FAA gave us the option of being able to hide that information due to the rising occurrence of identity theft.

If the guy you are defending is truly a certificated airman and flies biz jets, then post his type ratings and class and date of medical. You can do that without revealing his personal info easy enough.

I don't think you truly grasp what's going on here. You have a longtime member who is looking at a possible longtime staycation in an FCI--which stands for Federal Correctional Institute. You have a longtime member with which you've been presented every opportunity to verify what has been said against him via LEGAL, AUTHORITATIVE and VERIFIABLE channels, and yet you persist in a wet-noodle defense of him and claim you found his airman's certificate.

Don't know if YOU'RE a certificated airman or not--your assessment of that picture on short final at SFO left a lot to be desired. However, I know Rob is and I know DocMirror is and I know how other airmen feel about such folks. Throw in the fact that such a person is running what is now a ponzi scheme and leaving hard-working people out of three, four and five-figures worth of money while flashing pictures of himself living the high-life in biz jets and foreign sports cars, and it doesn't make our crowd real happy.

Furthermore, for whatever reason--unless it is via the "restricting me" you stated above--I am unable to send or receive a PM. So just exactly how do you propose that I communicate privately with any of your moderators/administrators in order to verify who I am and what I am?

    You wanna play games, fine.

    TexasFlyer,

FYI, I believe your inability to send or receive PMs is a technical glitch due to you having zero posts associated with your user name. There is an AviatorChat.com thread on this board located here:

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=155

I suggest you pick a thread in there and post a single post. I suspect you'll then have the PM ability at that point with your user name. Send me a PM if you want to test it.

BTW, I fly only VFR in a 182 and like to be slightly above the glideslope on the PAPI (although I like the 4th light to be turning pink so that I know I'm not too high above it). Of course my little Cessna flares a bit better than a business jet and definitely is easier to do a go-around in (engine responds to the throttle right away - no spooling up delay).

First, I was talking to the DocMirror. Second, I said if the record I found was Cannon's father, then I was wrong. Where do I call you a blankety-blank liar? Third, I've given you my name; you should be able to find me in the Airman database.

Help me out some third party. Am I really being that unclear?

I agree. I guess the TZ theme music I was hearing was a warning that I've allowed this thread to be hijacked too far already. After due consideration, this thread is closed.

    - Whatever "warning" might have been appropriate has already been made.

    - There are reportedly criminal investigations taking place, as well as civil actions (on both sides) apparently in the process of being filed. This forum is not a police agency, nor a court of law, nor the FAA.

    - Users who are genuinely interested in the outcome of this matter and feel they just have to get involved personally, have no shortage of active venues to join and participate.

    Disagree? Go ***** to Rob.

    End.
