No, there is a white Lp 670 SV there. The 570 was in the garaged area. There is a giant difference between the two, not to mention the giant SV logo on the side of the car, the fact the doors go up, the giant spoiler, it said LP 670 on the sides of the car, and the fact I saw it being moved to the back lot. Nice looking car but does not sound much different than a standard LP 640.
Thank you for the referral! I will make note of that and try to see that if I'm in the area. Wow, well that's an LP670 all right, the way you described it. Does Lamborghini Troy have a storage area other than the main showroom? I hope it's still there.Thank you for pointing that out. Chris
I took a video for you, they moved it to the service area for the weekend so it was hard to get a good shot of it. The Storage area is to the left of the car wash they have in the back of the building. http://s922.photobucket.com/albums/ad69/Diabloter/?action=view¤t=VID00204.mp4
Excellent! Thank you for taking that and sharing it. I will probably go there sometime this week and check it out if it's there, let me know if you're interested. Thanks again! Chris
A few more to add: - Gumpert Apollo - Mosler - Isdera Imperator (doubt there's any in the US) - Ferrari FXX (hard to come by, since they aren't in any owner's garages) Chris
I don't believe any Mosler's are in Michigan. I saw one back in '07 @ Eyes on design. Gumpert has been making a series of car show rounds, but primarily out west Why wouldn't the FXX be in an owners garage? Ferrari are required to be there when you want to track it. Penske's FXX made a surprise visit to a car show in TC on the 4th of July... a 'bait and switch' of sorts to help promote smart cars.
I remember seeing pics of that Mosler from '07, I unfortunately hadn't moved back to MI yet. About the FXX - according to Top Gear, the owners don't take delivery of their car. Instead. Ferrari keeps it with them and then bring it out when the owner wants to track it. Chris
Top gear embellishes quite a bit. Ferrari offer to store the car, but most owners house the cars themselves.
Ahh ok. It is true that Top Gear, while being a great show to watch, does bend the truth a lot for the sake of entertainment. Chris
There is a black Cizeta at the Marconi Museum in Tustin, CA (or at least it was there last time I visited.) http://www.marconimuseum.org/galleryDetail.asp?iPic=116&iType=7 They have lots of other interesting stuff there too (F40, F50, Ferrari FX, Daytona Spyder, XJ220S, etc.) Know that Tustin is a long way from Michigan, but if you're in the Los Angeles area...
Holy hell, I just checked out the link...they have LOTS of great cars there! 300SL Gullwing, BMW M1, Lamborghini Espada....I just might have to take a trip to California. Thank you so much for the reference! Chris
I saw an FXX a coupe weeks ago in Vegas. Penske-Wynn Ferrari has one on display (I'm assuming its Penske's). Cost $10 to get in, but they have a pretty nice showroom.
I'm gonna have to plan a trip to the west side and visit all the places you guys are mentioning. This is seriously giving me motivation to get another job so I can afford to do this! Thank you for the referral! Also, are the Ultimate Aeros mainly in California? Chris
Anyone remember the Monte Carlo Centenaire? I remember seeing it on the cover of Road & Track back in the early '90s. Only 5 were made, so I doubt there are any in the US. But it doesn't hurt to ask! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IisARZwKJT4 Chris
