ETA early Dec and was waiting for SEMA to show some nice rims but what's been shown is really ugly. Probably spray glossy black on my standard wheels for the moment. I actually notice that 599 post. I had wanted to get a 599 as an interim car before the 458 but only recently did i get a fair offer for my spider.

I think better to do touch up. I just did one today after my flapping bra scratched my bumper.

Yeah SEMA's rims for the 458 are disappointing this year. Either too bling or just don't suit the car at all.

It could be a sign for a GTO :)

any idea where I can see the most photos for recent sema? I dont think its easy to find
a nice rim design that reflects the 458 design...thus the simple five spoke sports rim (option).

I am looking at new wheels for my 599. Not keen on novitec or hamann. But I must say
the split rim with polish lips, spyder center design in matt black looks great on a black or white car. I saw it in Tokyo earlier this year. Parked outside the Hyatt Roppongi. Black
car with full hamann kit and 21s all around. Steam... But I dont think they suit a rosso car.
Any suggestions ? Mine already has the 20inch challenge style ones...which look good for
the front..not so for the rear. A 20 front and 21 rear would be better in looks..
King, any ideas since you have been eyeing wheels recently?

The minute stone chips ensures your car look macho unless you intend to keep it like a show model. However to a certain degree i believe the film might affect your paintwork in terms of intensity of colour. Well that certainly depends on temperature as well.

I think one of the threads in the 458 section has photos but rims specific only to 458.

Terry, it all depends how you want your 599 to look. If do don't want to bling it, than the Challenge wheels you have is already very nice in comparison to the standard wheels. If i had a 599, i would go for a Mansory look. The exhaust looks mean and as for wheels, you can custom built them with brands like Savini. You can finish the wheel in any look. Go check out their website. The Mansory wheel is nice too. You can wrap the top for the GTO or you can create the same look as the Mansory.

Yeah...agree with you the challenge rims are not bad looking. Maybe if I lowered the car a
bit, will look better. Its the rears I am not feeling. Tried a Larini exos on the car a few days ago. The sound wasnt what I expected and it didnt bring out the best notes of the
V12. More of a mid tone throbing sound...no kick. EM Gary said he would speak to the Larini folks to get them to make a higher pitch model. Hope they can customised.
Seen the 458 pixs at Sema...I think wait a bit. Nothing out there yet that can captured the lines of the 458.

Was at Ital this evening with my friend to pick up his 458. The car is white and he had his roof and his sports rims painted to a glossy black. Sorry no pictures but it looks like the Oakely Ferrari. He also painted his prancing horse in glossy black and it looks very nice.

I have heard the Mansory exhaust on youtube and it's awesome. However, that car is a full Mansory so don't know if it sounds the same on a stock 599. Go check it out.

The prancing horse on the rear. Similar to the Japenese owner from the 458 thread.
