I guess a feeling that you are take a small part of "something" special. A good reminder that you are privileged in life. The looks and sounds/drives rock as well!

Actually, I find that most women don't care about my Ferrari. It is the guys who care, want to see it and want to know about it. In any case. The best part for me is the way it makes me feel when I get behind the wheel, turn on the ignition and hear the engine fire up....Hard accelerations with the revs over 8000 ain't to bad either.

    One fun fact.
It's easier to have people get out of your way on the left side of the highway when you're in a 328 or a TR than if you're in a Audi.

The best experience about owning a Ferrari is what it does to kids ...

    1. They are inspired by a Ferrari
    2. They are motivated to work hard and own one
    3. They are fascinated with Ferrari mystique
    4. They have that lustful look in their eyes when they walk around your car
    5. Their knees go weak if you want them to touch and sit in the cars

This morning, 6:45AM as I was rounding a corner coming off the freeway on my way to work, there were about ten 10-12 years old kids standing on the curb waiting for the school bus to pick them up, I floored the gas on the F355, in second gear (with a Tubi and high flow cats), the kids were mesmerized to the last one.

I agree with all that's been said. I feel what everyone else feels, but what really made me buy my Mondial (aside from loving them when I was in high school in the early-mid 80's) is that it's different. I was actually looking at a Jag XK8 and found them to be everywhere at every price level and condition. I didn't want what everyone else had, I wanted to be different. When I expanded my search, I found my Mondial for only a few thousand more than the Jag. What I didn't know is what it would take to make a fine example out of it as it definitely needed work. I've been a bit poorer since, but the smile never disappears as I drive it at every possible moment I get.

    Regards,
    Brian

The euphoric sound of WOT accellaration to red-line through the gears, and the pure sensation of the feedback from the car and precise handling on twisties = driving it. It'll make most cars feel numb!

Only non-Ferrari owners think that having a Ferrari will 'get chicks'. The truth of the matter is most girls could care less about Ferrari, and the ones that do, are looking for a retirement plan and should be avoided at all costs.

The people that are attracted most to Ferrari's are boys aged 9-16... so if you are buying a Ferrari to go after this crew, you may find yourself on an episode of America's Most Wanted!

The best part of owning a Ferrari is driving it and sharing the experience with enthusiasts (owners or not).

    That is so true.

I think it's interesting that more women ask good questions about my 575 and the 599 I have now, than they do about my 430 Spider.

I agree, other than at the gas station. For some reason I only get the people asking how much it costs, etc, or people asking for money, using stories about some recent setback they've endured. Those situations are uncomfortable.

LOL, I like the kids that hang out of their parents rear window waving & taking pictures with their phones.

One of my friends always mentions how he loves the smell of my garage, because the smell of the leather is so strong.

I always really enjoy giving someone a good ride, that's never been in a Ferrari before. I haven't had an unhappy rider yet, but some honestly react like that ride was the best experience they've had to date in their lives. It's fun to be able to that for someone, & excite them that much.

My grandmother, at the age of 77 (and knowing absolutely nothing about cars), bought a 1963 Split-Window in 1989 because she thought it was "cute." :)

Are you sure it's not a strumpet collector?

Face it, the ultimate sports car is a Ferrari. There are others that try to compete but don't have the art, performance and race history to be it all. Ferrari is ledged, myth, timeless beauty. A gestalt where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Yeah, I own it.

    1. When the setting sun casts dancing light across the matching natura-colored dash.

    2. The entire smell of my garage after it's been warmed 15min after I've returned.

    3. The way the throttle feels like an infinite rubber-band of power.

    4. The way the grill smiles at me from the front view

    5. The way the ass-end teases me from the back view

    That's nice.... I really like #3 - even though mine is a 328 - that's how I'd
describe it. Ok, not "infinite" - but where I live/drive more than enough :)

    Nice description

Owning my first F car for just 24 hrs now, I can tell you it's the feeling of the accomplishment. It's another check mark on the bucket-list. Right now, it's the anticipation of riding through the mountains today. The sun is shining bright and there's no clouds in sight! Gotta go.....
