Since I lost my Persols (ugh), I'm looking at picking up the RayBan Cockpits in silver with silver lenses.

    Persol and Oliver Peoples.

Anyone know where to get custom lenses for Persol's?

You guys if you have never seen a large selection of Alain Mikli sunglasses like in an Alain Mikli store, you should before you decide if you like them or not. They are by far my favorite. Their Stark designed are cool but so are all of them. Technology and design. I also kind of like Persol, I have a few pair, but they are not as special as Mikli of course I know Oakley and have some, but they are not of the same calibre as Mikli.

I love my stevelle sunglasses with the gradiant fade lense, and they are one of the few fashion designers that offer them in polarized!

    Bump....

It will be interesting to see how our tastes have changed in 5 years.

Got these today, Prada Special Machines. I've also been wearing Ray Ban Aviators lately.

    Holy thread revival! :)

I've been a huge fan of Maui Jims 'hingeless' for years. Super light & stick on the top of my head when inside. Pretty much never leave me - they're either in front of my minces(*) or perched on my head whenever I go anywhere.

    Cheers,
    Ian
(*) - 'Minces' = 'mince pies' = 'eyes' in Cockney rhyming slang. ;)

After twenty years of wearing Serengeti sunglasses, I never thought I'd find a pair that was better or lighter. However, two years ago I picked up a pair of Dillon Optics "Logan" and have not looked back. They are fantastic and I like that the matte silver lenses set them apart from all the generic blue and brown lenses of other sunglasses.

I loved the Vuarnet sunglasses I had. I cannot seem to find them these days in the USA. With Luxottica owning manufacturing, distribution and retailing, it is difficult to find non Luxottica brands.

I don't know who owns the name now. They are just starting to make a comeback.

Ray Ban Wayfarer is the only high end sunglass I will buy.
Timeless so don't have to think if I identify with the latest trend or not.
BTW the latest trend would just look stupid on me.

It's the "little black dress" in men's eyewear.

I have only purchased Ray Ban Wayfarers. My first pair were perfect then I lost them. My current pair just don't have the same fit as the last pair

Overall I like them a lot

There are lots of cool textured Wayfarer frames out there to change things up, if you want to.

No way. No one is ever able to not lose their sunglasses that length of time. :D
