    Congratulations on the new ride.
I too remember that day for me and although I have driven the newer 360's and Lambos I must admit I am not enticed to let go of the 355.
I will drive the 430 shortly but I would'nt be surprised if it turns out to be a pass.
(the 458 may be another story though)

I only got to drive her about 50 miles or so. The weekend looks like good weather...we're going to go all around the city to get to know one another.

Jeff, A great looking car. Congratulations! I also own a 355 as well as a 348. I know you will enjoy the car and (whether you know it now or not) the people you are about to meet . The car is truly a drivers' car that can only be appreciated by people that have chosen the same car with the same passion as you. The best advice I can give you is to call on any of us in the Ferrari Chat community for advice. There is a infinite amount of advice for the anyone seeking information on any Ferrari..and more. I also would like to invite you to our monthly Ferrari breakfast. I t is held both rain or shine at the Sheraton located at Lamar and College Blvd. Over 60 active members. We had over 25 show up to our last get breakfast, with a variety of exotics. We look forward to meeting you. Please PM me if you have any questions. Doug

Cool car. The 355 is still my favorite of the sub $100k cars. I like that STS on the trailer too.

Congrats Jeff, welcome to the club. Another F355 is always a great sight here in the KC Metro. I'm near 151st & Metcalf and have the '97 Chiaro Blue. See you around.

    All,

Thanks for all of the replys to my "First-Day" post. The first four days were awesome (I think I was smiling while I was asleeep). Then came today.

I go to my club to play some golf (not trying to sound like an ****** it's just the facts). Play a nice round. Get in the car...try to put the top down...guess what?

Can't get it (the top) up/can't get it down. Try for two hours. Nothing.

Luckily, a buddy gives me a slot in his garage, so she's inside.

The flatbed comes tomorrow to take her to the top doctor. I'm crushed.

Is 5 days to flatbed a record? You probably can't tell while reading this that I'm laughing. I am. I knew this wasn't for the faint of heart.

Glad you can laugh about it - you're gonna have lots of laughs coming. :)

I've heard anecdotally to expect no more than 100 cycles of up/down on the top before it craps out and needs repair. Oh, Ferrari!

Move to SoCal and just keep the top down??

Which is it? can't get the top up or can't get the top down? can't be both ;)

congrats on the 355. I must admit I haven't owned one since about 2001, but I've put many miles on the 97 spider that I had.

You can put the top up and down many many times more than 100. I can attest to that as living in a rainy part of the country, I literally had to put the top up and down many times a day.

This may seem like a dumb comment, but not having read the manual when I first got my car, it took me a while to figure out I had to "break" the joint after unlatching the top in order to put it down.

    Congrats on the car Jeff

Doug, I haven't seen too many people that still have a 348 after moving to a 355.....being as you are an owner of both I'd be interested in your thoughts....I normally only see the posts that encourage the 348/355 rivalries
