Congrats! While I love driving my 911, nothing gets my heart going like driving my Ferrari! Sorry to hear about the top. Welcome to Ferrari ownership.

OK, full disclosure. The problems with my top....no problem other than I'm a moron.

So I put the car on a flatbed and convince a local shop owner (a great guy named Chris Hill) to meet me at his shop (on a Sunday). He gets in the car and in 5 seconds figures out what I'd done wrong. Complete operator error.

If I was 10 years younger I would have never admitted this. But at 47, I'm comfortable with my deficiencies.

I did get to see (3) 355's, (2) 911 Turbos, and a Lambo in Chris' shop so it wasn't a total loss.

I had not owned the 348 long before getting a call from a friend of mine about his previously owned 95 yellow 355 being sold. It was known to be in great condition with all the engine and interior issues addressed and the price was right. I could not pass it up.

There is a lot of difference between the two cars. The 355 is a lot easier to drive in traffic, has more power and great exhaust sound but I love the exotic look of my triple black 94 348 Spider as well as driving the car in a spirited manner, away from traffic, with the top down. A blast to drive.

It's fun to have both, but I am sorry to say, I will be parting with the 348. Can't keep them both. It's a strong driver. I bought the 348 from a fellow Fchat'r drove it from San Antonio to K.C. in the middle of summer with no issues. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car back to San Antonio tomorrow. The car is reliable as I drive it often. It will make someone a great car!

All right not to rub dirt in it, but what were you doing wrong! AS a newer 355 owner, I find myself going through the "checklist" when I put the top up or down.
    Enjoy
    Chris
