I had a good look around. A few nice examples in the Ferrari stand including a 288 GTO I hadn't seen before, F50, possibly the best "360 that looks like a strad but isn't a strad", Boxer and F40. Spoke to the F40 guy quite a bit who'd only done a few hundred miles in 9 years (!) Great show overall..

I was there on the Sunday, it was OK, had a look around the Ferrari Club stand.
Saw the Top Gear Roadshow too, the usual laughs there.

Was offered membership at £80 "down from £100 for today" and wondered if it is worth it?

Anybody care to share thoughts on the Ferrari Owners's Club?

Martin, this is an oft discussed question and you will probably be able to find previous threads if you do a search.

I think you need to come to it from the angle of whether you are a club type person or not. For some it is not their thing. If you want to sit there and expect things to be done for you, then the answer is probably no. But if you want to get involved either at national or local level with people with a common interest then it may well be for you.

The track days are good value (with free instructors) and well run. There are excellent club track racing and hill climb series. The Spring Ball and National Meet Barbecue or Ball (depending on venue) are excellent social occasions if that is your thing and the National Meet and Concours is a tremendous gathering of Ferraris and Ferrrai lovers, a great day out. The Northwest has a very active local area group which will provide local events and meets.

You will no doubt also get some detractors answering your question, but the bottom line is you will get out of it what you put in. But it works for me.

Some of the detractors will try and tell you the FOC is full of snooty elderly snobs. That is just totally untrue. I have met a lot of great people and made some real friends through the FOC

The Ferrari magazine is also excellent if you are interested in Ferraris in general and especially Ferrari history.

Indeed Clive was there with his 250GTE. And it was much admired.
