A) it remains F1 as long as it remains the pinacle of racing C) you fail to understand that if you get rid of aerodynamics (as in wings, diffusers,...) the corner speeds plumet (about a factor of 2), the brake distances increase (about a factor of 2.5), acceleration distances increase (about a factor of 3), lap times increase (20%), and top speed increases (no 400 HP of drag to overcome). You can even consider getting rid of the chicanes. Slower corner speeds makes the current car safety standards safer Longer brake distance allow more opportunities for passing (and remove any need to lmit braking systems--as they become tire limited) Longer acceleration distances allow more opportunity for passing (and remove any need to limit engine performance--as they become tire limited) Higher top speeds allow more opportunity for passing Modern safety run off areas allow for more bravery under the longer braking distances ------------ And I also agree that the curbs shold be set at the edge of the track and be at a 30-45 degree angle and be at least 4 inches tall. This will cause the drivers to stay on the tarmac under penalty of broken suspension parts.
