In Canada, that is exactly what the car costs with options (and before tax). You guys in the states are so lucky.

I can't wait to see more pics. Be sure to post interior pics. Nero is THE color for the car. It sure does look like Vinacchia in the pics. Make sure they didn't mess up the color! That has indeed occurred. Yes, America is a great country!

$50,000+ extra in Canada for the very same 458 the Americans buy. Pretty sweet racket considering the Canadian and American dollar are within a few pennies of each other...

Yeah. The list on my Cali before options in Canada is $262k. How much is it in the US? I think it is $192k. See the difference?

By the way, why the fire extinguisher option? I would guess that gets in the way of leg room.

I guess people are still scared about the whole fire thing in the 458.

There's actually an official Ferrari service location about 45 minutes away, so that's not too bad

So Randy, you have both a Cali and a 458? You'll have to tell me how they compare.

    AJ430,

Can you post more interior shots and maybe list the options.

This looks pretty close to one I spec'd out, it would be nice to see all the interior and how it flows.

Did you order the (CRPK) Carbon Fibre Sports Package and maybe (CILZ) the Carbon Fibre Lower Zone Package?

    Randy,

Let me know when it gets home. Hopefully the weather will be cooperating.

You and Beth driving the California north for the pick-up?

Get all the documents you can from Continental. Maybe they can see about getting you done for Futuro Classico documentation with the FCA.

The dealer told me the part would be in "after Thanksgiving". He hinted that Italians may have a different understanding of the concept of speed :) I'm hopefull to drive up on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week to pick it up. However, I've made a few grumbling noises, so they may be willing ot deliver it down here when it's done. I'll keep you updated

What recall issue is this. My dealer has not heard of any further recalls. Can you specify.

I was told it involed a hose...that's all I know right now. I've seen other people on Ferrarichat write about how the original recall was thought to be due to some adhesive, but now they figured out it was a different issue, so I suspect my car was built (Oct. 6) during the time they were figuring this out. Let me know if you hear something different. I'll ask the dealer personally if he can explain when I talk to him next week. It now looks like it won't be ready until Tuesday or Wednesday

Seems like a pretty basic engineering aspect... Just a matter of reading the specs on the equipment before ordering it.
