Does anyone know any good shops either in Portland through Seattle area that might be able to repair a sagging headliner? The material is actually a cloth weave, similar to crochet pattern. I am afraid that new material will not be available and will have to be repaired not replaced.

    Thanks

That looks like a 308 GTB headliner. You got any shots of how the sun visor attaches, or how the headliner attaches to the roof of the car?

Thanks for all the input so far everyone. Jonny the headliner is held in place along both sides with pop rivets. The hard ones to get to are the ones in the back that go next to the side windows...2 on each side. With all the rivets removed, the headliner slides forward and will drop down as soon as it clears a little catch in the front between the sunvisors. 1 of the pictures shows both the metal catch that is attached to the headliner for the front mount as well as the sunvisor rod attachment.

The sunvisors appear to be held in with a long single rod that is fastened up on top of the headliner. It looks like you have to remove the nuts and move the whole rod left or right to let the other end drop out of the headliner and then slide the visor off at that point.

    Thanks Billy,

It sounds like the same problem I am having with mine. The front is sagging and the visors are so loose they just fall down if not snapped. Would be interested in seeing yours up close before I tackle mine.

Can't you tighten up the screws on the visors? Things are a lot different between the GTB and GTS but on mine once the visor slides on the rod you tighten the screws to adjust tension.

I'll check again. Last time I looked it seemed as though the entire rod was rotating, and the nuts are only accessible from the top.

Ok took Ron Tonkins guys suggestion and went with Bright Auto Upholstery in Portland, and just got all the pieces back last Monday and reinstalled it. They did an amazing job of cleaning the material, removing it all and replacing the foam padding, then regluing it all back.

I am sure the other places suggested would have done a great job as well, but seeing as I had to drive it somewhere I decided to go with the dealers suggestion.

I also saw a leather dash they have redone, and the stitching is perfect....so any 355 owners who want to have their leather dashes redone after they shrink and pull the leather away from where the dash meets the windshield, I think the job would come out great.
