Great pics Brett, thanks for sharing. I like a man who's not afraid to use his restored car! Just got from a few weeks OS and been wondering if you made the event, looks like you had a great time. What event are you planning on doing next as l'll make sure l come along so we can meet?

I'm doing the Pur Sang next Sunday (5th December) and every other Carbi event the club has. Calender looks good for 2011.

Looking forward to meeting you in the flesh Ossie. :)

Should be able to join you for the Pur Sang, just have to fix a noisy front wheel bearing during the week and I'll be right to go.

Excellent, look forward to it mate. :)

If you look at the pic on the previous page, you'll see you only need 3 wheels on the ground anyway. :D

    Brett,

Like the setup for the harness! Down at the Island weekend before last and was sliding all over the seat. I already have the belts from a previous car and was thinking about doing just that sort of thing for track days.

Did you use the seat belt bolts for the bar for the shoulder straps?
Where did you bolt the lap belts to?

    David,

Definitely worth having the belts in. It was why I was pushing for it before the rally. You end up using all your energy holding yourself in the car instead of focusing on driving fast without them. :) Merridian Motorsport did my bar and from memory it was around $1200, not sure haven't got final bill yet. They do all the work for Zagames in Melbourne so all the 430 Scuds with belts are done there. Evidently the factory setup out of Ferrari S.p.A. doesn't meet ADR. Yeah I know. BTW, mine hasn't been powder coated yet, need to get a bracket fitted to mount my video camera for track days. :D

I've sent you a PM but please refer to attached photos, hope this helps.

    1. Attachment of harness bar at the top. You'll see it bolts into where the seat belt normally connects. You'll note they have even put the bolt head cover back on.
    2. Attachment of the harness bar at the base.
    3. The right hand side lap belt connection.
    4. The centre console side lap belt connection. (Sorry this one is a bit fuzzy)

    Cheers
    Brett

Brett, this is great. So neat that you're actually using it! Glad to hear it's holding together so far.
