Thanks so much for the videos! I'm assuming that was all the videos you have? Do you have any pictures? Also, what track was that? Mugello? Vellelungna? Last question, I promise, were those the only two 458 Challenge cars at the test? Sorry for the 20 questions, I'm just curious. I can't wait to see the 458 Challenge in person, it's going to be the best yet by a mile. A full 2 seconds faster than the 430C, that's nuts. Thanks again for sharing! Mark
Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, Spain There were three cars. 2 seconds but remember, drivers were only given three laps (out, timed, cool down) And this was on a cold track.....car is much much improved.
Duhhh, my fault, I should've realized they had "demos" at the Finali Mondiali, just wasn't thinking when I asked where it was. Thanks though.
No, 5! On Fiorano, the 458C is 2 seconds faster. On other circuits, I/we don´t know. Mark, I have some pictures and a lot more video. I´ll try to post some more later. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
you betcha, mate. you're first on the list in '11....can't wait to see the scratching of heads in your household the morning of...deciding which to leave behind for the Corral Parking

Too bad we'll have the finally of the 2011 season at Homestead instead of the start, I really can't wait to see these beauties hit the track.

"the direct injection 4499 cc V8 remains strictly in production tune" At least until the cars get into the hands of the teams ....
Jim, Hideki Onda said on Axis of Oversteer that there are talks with Michelotto to produce a GT3 kit for the 458 in the latter half of 2011. Here's the link http://axisofoversteer.blogspot.com/2010/12/ferrari-458-challenge-driven-and.html
Looks like it. I used to have this problem on my 360; oil came out of the F1 actuator (I think via the sensors) and dripped on the exhaust manifold. Expensive to solve (bought a completely new actuator). With the 360 the smoke was more on the right side though, here it looks to be on the left side. Could be just a few drops that produce all that smoke. Still....fantastic car.
Anyone knows the size of the new Pirelli slicks in the F458 ? I know they use 19" slicks despite of the street car using 20", and I know they are wider (265/305 as far as I remember). I want to order a set to test them against my local favorites A6. Thanks
