I'm tracerouting different domains and they all ***.

I thought it was just my domain but then I tried a few more and realized they all are not completing.

    Anyone else seeing this?

    Exactly...

I can get to the datacenters, but not to resolving to the actual server ip.

The visual trace shows the data center.

    Seems very strange to me.

I've been out of the IT loop for a while and it's been a while since I've done a DOS tracert with purpose, but if I were to guess, I would guess the internet backbone routers are blocking tracert(ICMP) and ping requests, due to exploits in the ICMP pipe. New threats mean security measures required for backbone servers and routers, etc... There are other ways to trace, it just can't be done old school.

It's been awhile since I've done a trace myself. I do see that it's becoming more std. to block them.
