Cool thanks, I may be able to persuade the wife at that price. I would hold on to it for a while to build up my skills some more to do it good justice. :) Is there such thing as an inexpensive resin kit to learn with? Besides the obvious issues with mediums used, would it be very different going from plastic to resin?

Resin kits are pretty simple compared to plastic until it comes to the photoetch and cleanup. You can also use car paint on resin after you clean the mold release oils off without any problems after priming. They are expensive because they are very limited and all hand made with expensive resin materials.

If you want something to practise with, I can send you second-class bodies for 10€ each + postage... These have defects or larger-than-acceptable holes that can still be filled and fixed. Or if you feel 45€ + postage for a VW Karmann-Ghia Typ 34 trans kit for Tamiya K-G Typ 1 is not too expensive...

No, but I know of another company that might also be doing a 250 GTL Lusso in 2011. I hope I.C. also does the 250 GT Bertone soon.

Looks good. I wonder what the glass/windows situations is going to be line this time. I'd love to see a proper vacuformed glass for this one.

Get aload of this. I asked AMP from China how much wholesale was on there kits. They told me a price wholesale that was higher than they offer them on Ebay!!! I have heard alot of
stuff like this goes on with Chinese model manufactures. Funny thing is they want more for the F40GT kit than a European maker would ask, and its made in China.

APM wrote me again and say they will give discounts based on the Ebay price. I will see if some of the US model kit importers will carry there kits in the USA. I will have them at the Ferrari Expo 2011 if you want to veiw or purchase them. The 599XX in 1/12th scale is very accurate and nice, much better than a MG or ABC kit. Everything seems to have been done on CAD and the castings are normal tan resin done to a very high standard. They say more kits are planned. The 599XX also has a large amount of well done photoetch.

Might as well post this link. They always have something new in 1/43rd. Mostly show cars, YOW does nice work most of the time. I did not like the TZ3 very much. The Looksmart 1/43rd looks much better. MR did it in 1/18th scale too.

Latest work of art from Minidelta from their Christmas card. I think it is 1/8th scale. Wow, one of my favorites!!!

I wish they would make more kits!!!

No, Patrick told me it was a large model in either 1/8th or 1/10th. You can tell by the picture its not 1/43rd due to the detail.

I noticed APM are now offering their 1/12th scale Ferrari 250 Breadvan with the Revell diecast model for $299.00 on ebay. They told me they are getting rid of the last 12 kits(I think they sold 4 or 5 already). They also told me they are getting rid of the last 599XX's. The built up 599XX did not sell so they took the remaining unbuilt models and sold them as kits. Get one if you want a 599XX, it is a great model. Also tell them that a Ferrari 250 GTO 1964 series II would be great in a 1/12th scale kit :)......................

    Happy Holidays.

Looks really good, thank you for posting!!! Can't wait to get one. Love the all opening details. By the way, the Euro is still overvalued as Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Spain ect. can attest:)

I wonder if Hiro will now do it also in 1/24th scale? I think theProfil 24 captures the look of the front fenders very well. Doubt if Hiro will be as good if they do copy his idea.

    Happy holidays

I sold my ScaleKraft kit when I heard this one was coming out and now I am ever so glad I did. This is going to be a much nicer kit and will look great. I've been waiting on a Renaissance 908 and Profil24 Audi R15 to get here as well. As for Hiro, I am hoping they will eventually do the Mercedes 300Sl from 1952. I have only seen it in diecast form. Would be nice to get it in a kit.
