Having a starting problem...turn key..no click..battery seeems fine. Jumped it ..same thing. Ran great just before trying to restart. thought it was a hot solenoid but let it cool over night and same thing going on. Got lights etc just no spinning of the starter at all. No click. I wanted to reseat the "W" white connector but can find where it is located at the fuse box. Thanks for the help.
Inspect/reseat both the w and the y connectors -- the B (white) start command line passes thru both (and check/reseat the 9-pin C11 connector under the coolant expansion tank if fiddling with the w and y conectors doesn't help) : Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Thanks guys! The car is running great again. Removed and replaced the white connectors and the C11 plug, tightened my battery clamps and all is good to go again. Not sure which one did it but thanks for the great advise Steve!!! Much appreciated.
Glad to hear you got her running again.. Your connections in the engine bay require some attention my TR brother.. Do the precious metal kit.. I feel like a broken record regarding this topic.. but I am gonna keep pressing the issue.. Connections in the engine bay are known to be flimsy, week, and sub standard. Patience and time is all you need to complete the install of the kit.. The best part is that while your doing plug by plug you can continue to drive her around.. I did the install doing two plugs at a time documenting as I went along.. Really something to think about. R
I totally agree Robbie. Great Advise. I didn't realize that the Helms fix was in the engine compartment too. I thought it was just in the fuse box area. Nice!
Its a combination of both.. Fuse box upgrade is one upgrade then the precious metal kit completes the engine bay abd ecu plugs. R
And remember....all of this is just the signal to the starter. (Starter is by default a big relay itself) Once the starter is activated....the current is coming down the large cables from the battery into a connector at the back of your block above the oil filter. This single connection then feeds the starter AND alternator. Check this connection on the back of your block. If it is corroded you will also get the "click" and battery light. This is because there is resistance to pushing and pulling current from the battery.
It is also very simple to start the engine this way ... a cable inside the enginebay to the solenoid ... But you have to make/prepare that cable to be able to use it first ...
