I don't know about that. My other half can't always wear a size 2 because they can be too big and this is her LM002, her second 328, the TR and her first 328. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My wife can drive a crash box truck and had one when I first met her. Can double clutch like a champ. No problem driving any of my past and present Ferraris. Taz Terry Phillips
My wife picks any car of ours she wants to drive. They all have to be ready to roll at all times. She could want a convertible today, a sunroof tomorrow, a coupe or a sedan in the evening, or a pickup truck for shopping the next day (uber-shopper). She has only one request... That they dont have carburetors. Only two of the whole group do so that is not a problem. She thinks the Ferrari is usable & a pleasure to drive BTW - because of all the advantages that the Mondial t brings to the table. So lucky me.
My wfe hasn't driven my 328 yet, she is a little nervous about driving it. She can drive a manual car and has had a few herself the last being a Miata with the sport package and loved it. She also would drive my 2001 S2000 which was a high reving (9000rpm) low torque engine (not the easieast thing to drive) but allot of fun. The heavy steering and shifting has her concerned and of course the fact that it is a Ferrari. I think she will get behind the wheel someday but until then she loves going for a drive with me. She is 5'2" so the driving position for her could be difficult. I do think it would be a turn on seeing her drive it
I dont know if she can drive it or not, all of the things that most of us love about the car she hates...................too loud, rough, hard to get in and out of, smells like fuel, too low to the ground.
My wife won't even R I D E in mine (she did it once so I couldn't say she never has) and complained about "that noise" ...........which happened to be the engine. Driving it? AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Uh, no. MB
My wife can drive any of our sports cars any time she wants - two ferraris, a GT40, a porsche - but she'd rather drive the automatic mercedes or suburban.....
My wife would not drive an AUTOMATIC if her life depended on it. She'd die first. But the Ferrari is not her cup of tea. Shift lever too stiff and seat won't go forward enough. Her feet don't reach the pedals. They do ... in a REAL 911 ... so ..................
My wife has never asked to drive my Mondial t. She hasn't offered to teach me to ride a motorcylce either. She's a little more strict about yours and mine. I borrowed her car one day without asking and discovered that she views car sharing like sharing cloths or a hair brush. Don't ask to borrow unless absoultely necessary.
My wife can and does drive our Mondial, although she doesn't really like to. When we first bought it, she drove it a reasonable amount. Mostly, she's so short that she looks right into the parked windshield wiper. She also doesn't like to drive it to work because she thinks it gives the wrong impression. It's OK for me because I'm a "car guy".
My wife drives the Mondi very well. The slow speed steering is the only bad aspect for her. One requirement for her, the A/C must work.
Had my 308 2 years now, my wife is afraid of it and refuses to even try to drive it. The Fiat X1/9 I had before the Ferrari she would drive occasionally, the Fiat 124 spider before that see drove once, but has a problem fitting the classis Italian driving position in that car. I think the 308 would be a similar bad fit for her.
about 15 years ago when i was still a lad in college, i saw a red 308 at a park. it was driven by a really hot blonde chick. hot chicks look so much hotter in a ferrari than a bmw. imo
My wife drove our 308 before I did, as for the clutch, I don't find the stock clutch heavy at all and my wife's little feet fit the pedals better than mine do. As for shifting, my wifes other car has a T10 - 4 speed with a Hurst shifter, much stiffer than the fragile Ferrari shifter. The steering on the other hand is pretty heavy especially in a parking lot. We were leaving church one day, I noticed a group of guys standing near the car looking it over, so I tossed the wife the keys. As she got in, there were several comments like, I'll bet she stalls it......She even impressed me when she pulled away. I couldn't have been more proud of her.
Mine doesn't drive manual. She's an incredible cook. She's good looking! She's not interested in fast old red cars. So, I am happily married.
My wife can, in desperate circumstances, drive a stick shift. She enjoys riding in my 328 but has nver driven it. She might do so - once. She frequently refers to it as "the stupid little red car." My daughter, on the other hand, can drive it like a pro. JAF
