Ladies and Gentlemen, the time has arrived once again when KewlRides.org will host the Annual Toys For Tots Toy Drive / Car Show (seventh year running) for the United States Marine Corps' 2010 Toy for Tots campaign. See details below.

Show Time: 11:00 am- 3:30 pm

Location: Miller's Ale House
10750 Davis Dr
Alpharetta, GA, 30009-4775
(off 400 exit 8 Man sell Road)​

All vehicles are welcome to register, what we want to see is loads of toys; as one of our members says "put a major dent in the USMC Toys For Tots 2010 goal". We know from years past that the car community can come together for this one event knowing their work and efforts are bringing big broad smiles to children that might not otherwise have anything for Christmas. There will be trophies, raffles, silent auction and fun in general. All this is to generate more toys for the kids.

To register ( [email protected] ) your Baby, (remember the registration fee will be a New Unwrapped Toy or Toys brought to the Toy Drive / Car Show) please provide the following information for registration:

Full Name - Jiminy Cricket (your name of course)

Year of Car – 1999 (the year of your car)

Model – Convertible, Coupe, Sedan (the model)

Make - (Ferrari. Corvette, Dodge, Camaro, Firebird, Porsche, Trans Am, Viper)

Club or Group affiliation – Ferrari Chat, GALXC, Muscle Car Evolution, Kewlrides, 6Speedonline – Porsche, (your club or group)

Forum name – Lucky Dog (your forum name, Corvette Forum, Ferrari Chat, GALXC, or any of the others)

Got it Bob, glad you can make it, checking with our contact to see what they may need in specific age groups. Last year it was young girls, 9 - 12. I will post as soon as I get the info.

Well I was close and somewhat right, got the info back from our Marine Toys for Tots contact and they run short on ages 9-14, for both boys and girls. Seems to be the same trend each year.

Jim, the judges felt yours was the 1st place winner. Could be that if the others had stayed you might not have won, but then again with KewlRides Toys for Tots one never knows what will happen. Last year a older Lotus beat out the newer Lambo.

What I can tell you about the judging at Toys for Tots is that it is always going to be interesting, it has been each and every year.

Remember, Toys for Tots is a Toy Drive, we do the trophies because we like to give back something to those of you that come out, brave the weather and join us in a good time for the day.

We collected a little over $1000.00 in cash (the 50/50 winner donated his win back to the Toys for Tots Foundation). We almost filled the USMC truck that came to off load the toys from trailer. We had less cars in attendance but more toys than we had last year and maybe even the year before.


I want to thank you, and all the FChat folks for really coming out this year, KewlRides T4T is getting to be more about all vehicles and with this we will have to change up the categories in 2011.

Speaking about that; guess we might as well annouce the:

8th annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive / Bike/Car/Truck Show

date will be December 10th, 2011.


Come out next year and let's see if we can fill a two trailer.

Happy New Year to All, once again thanks for the support and the toys the USMC will put them to good use.

Thank you, glad you enjoy it, we try to make it fun, give out some trophies but most of all get that trailer filled with toys.

 

I too saw the Lotus drive in, where did you park, I never saw it leave, then again like every other year, I seem to miss most of the cars (always trying to keep things going) and have to look at the pictures to see what was there (but it is fun every year).


Even though thanks for coming, bring more Lotus with you next year. We already posted the date.
