The Baum tool isn't any good. The Ferrari tool is but if still available is expensive.

The factory head tool that was junk is the 355/360 tool. It is GOING to break before all the head nuts are loose. I am happy to say the Hill version is quite good and has had a lot of use already.

You can purchase the factory Lamborghini head nut tool for about 75 bucks, and its the same size as the Ferrari tool. But the Lambo tool has the cool Lamborghini script down the side!!

Just a thought..However The hill engineering stuff is excellent..I'll bet its much better then the Lambo tool as well...but I haven't broken the Lambo tool yet..

+1......I am not related to Daniel either, but the customer service I got yesterday and today in looking for a rare elec connector was truly remarkable. Daniel is truly an asset to the "community"......

95 bucks is cheap for a good quality speciality tool...

The factory QV head tool is made by USAG and works very well. Other than that it may need to be modified ever so slightly to clear some head castings on some cars, it works perfect. I've had mine for nearly 25 years. You can break the tool, if while torquing the head, if you don't watch where the tool is, in relationship to the head casting. There's very little range of angular travel before you hit the sides of the casting. When torquing heads with the engine on a stand, this becomes a non-issue, as you can see where the wrench is in relationship to the casting. On the car, you're doing this process nearly blind, particularly on the front head.

So, in my opinion, this is a good factory tool. I have many, many other factory tools that are of suspect quality. On the bright side, as HE and Ricambi continue to offer better alternatives, I continue to buy them....as they are just simply far superior products. Couple that with Daniel's exemplary customer service, you just can't go wrong.

    Best,
    David

Those that question the value of a $95 wrench that actually works have not been around the dirty end of a Ferrari long enough. I have 4 broken OEM tools in my wrench drawer and as memory serves me they were closer to $400 ea for the 355/360. Ferrari got it right on the QV tool as David stated, I have had mine since the cars were new.

My homemade tool has not shattered yet so I have no experience with the Hill tool BUT.... with that available and the Hill quality track record, I no longer grit my teeth when I really have to lean on mine as there is a quality replacement a call away.

Try making a tool of that quality where worldwide sales figures can be counted on ones fingers and toes. That amounts to a Give Away and Paul should be on everyone's Christmas Card list for his efforts with that!!

A "Good Head Job"... you nut job! I can see an upcoming dinner will leave my sides aching for a good bit. No need to pack a jacket, we have boycotted snow and cold this year, 50-60's next week are forcasted.

    Nice.

why in the description does it say "Remanufactured" rather than "manufactured"?

Uro- Remanufactured means you started with a tool and cut/bent/welded/ground it to make it work. This tool is a functional replacement, but it is not remanufatured because it is manufactured from scratch. Like a Snap-On 6" 1/2" drive extension is not a remanufactured Craftsman tool or v.v., even if one came out first.
