ya I gave my car away....... it had 14,000 miles and every record from day 1.... all the keys, books, cover, tools etc etc.

430 wheels with brand new potenza re-11's.
    car was pretty damn mint.
    drove perfectly.
in 3 years of ownership not a single mechanical issue... truly an awesome car.

gave it away for $71,000 and I kept the stock 360 wheels.
guy got a great deal for the nicest car out there I believe.

wasn't easy selling the car but the dude was a very nice car and we got along....very humble guy that deserves it... keep in mind Ive told at least 4 possible buyers to screw up just because I didnt like their tone on the phone..... anyways, its his first ferrari and the funny thing is he had seen my car on ebay over a year ago and was about to give me $80,000 back then..... then some medical emergency came up (which he explained to me yesterday) that tied up a bunch of his money so he and his wife decided to hold off on any car purchase..... delivered it to his home in Miami and we drank scotch for an hour shooting the ****.... nice to sell to a good guy and a sweet taste in my mouth knowing it went to a good home where it'll be appreciated and cared for.

was in bed for a few hours last night just thinking... was a great car gonna miss her... on a positive note:

    430 spider coming soon....

I have had a lot of cars over the last 30 years and was only in love with two of them. A 1980 911 SC and a 2005 Acura NSX. So I understand the feeling of letting go of an important relationship with a car. And it really does feel better when you know and like the person that you sell her to. You want to know that the car you loved will be cared for.

The funny thing is, I tend to always want something new. I cried like a baby when I had to give up my 911. The NSX was sad but it was time to move on for us.

You are fortunate that you are getting an 430 which will bring back that special bond.

I am getting an 430 coupe F1 in a week or two and am expecting that I will get that real bond that you can get with the right special car.

It is interesting that we can fall in love with a car.....but I am glad it happens........Have fun......Steve

It's always nice to have a happy ending when you sell something you love. I would say there are few better ways to end a sale than sitting down for a class of scotch. Merry Christmas :).

Buying and selling Ferrari's is just different. You do want the car to go to someone who'll appreciate the car as much as you did when it was yours.

I felt this way when I sold my 360... the guy who bought it was very cool and we have stayed in touch -- from time to time -- in the years since.

Sorry to see your 360 go, but you'll be very happy with the 430, trust me.

    Merry Christmas.

First of all, congrats on finally selling your car. I remember seeing your car for sale back when I bought mine in late 2008. If only you had had hind sight, you could've listed it for 85 and it wouldve sold then. I believe you started at just over 100k. But the market for 430s were higher than now, so it's a bit relative. Have fun on the search.

i know how you feeling... it was a sad day to see my 2003 F360 go back in Sep 2009 with only 7,500 miles as i had other plans to do with the money...
in Jun 2010 I planned to buy a F430 since i had a test drove one, and loved how the driveablity was smooth... so got my self a spyder black with red top...
in July 2010 i've seen my ex F360 listed for sale :( and noticed my self trying to sell the F430 and go back to the F360 again, but couldn't sell the F430 that fast so the F360 was gone in just 1 month...

I kept thinking what made me think to go back to the F360.. i found out that i really LOVE the shape of the F360 with the pure ferrari look with red exterior and tan interior...
plus i love the sound of the 360 more than the 430, it's more like F1 than the 430...
    but life goes on...

attached pic of my ex F360 the day was exported it to the new owner.. and my current F430

I remember seeing this car for sale a while ago on eBay and Craigslist, I loved the Bordeaux interior and the 430 wheels.

Good to see she finally sold.

Glad to see you'll be replacing her too!
