Round here I get a lot of attention in my Mondial t.
It looks like a Ferrari, sounds like a Ferrari, and it's red. I think that does it for most people.
The only negative comment was from my friend's 16 year old daughter, who said it was "boring"

Here in Miami we're very spoiled. To make me go wow, and people around town go wow,it's usually some classic. We see Enzo's, Lambo's , Veyrons all the time here. 360's, 430's etc. don't turn heads here like you'd think. Another part of the country, yes. F40's,F50's are rare, William Hubbel has one, Preston Henn.

If I actually cared what made my neighbors go WOW!, this would be worth the effort.

I still think the TR has that wow factor. My neighbor has a white one and I still have to slow down to look at it when I drive by his house.

If you're talking about classics, I would say... the 246 Dino GT.

Why? Well, it has a "classic" style that isn't seen anymore. It's definately "old school" styling. It looks unique in today's sea of boring machines -- chrome bumpers, fly windows, thin flying buttresses, classic egg crate grill, high profile tires, a simple but purposeful interior, etc.

Second, it was plentiful enough for a lot of people to have seen one (in person or in photos) as a kid. It was an object that a lot of people lusted after as children.

Third, it looks fast even though it really isn't by today's standards. It's mystique is much greater than what the actual numbers are. People think it's really fast -- and that helps drive it's interest level.

Fourth: Sorry but 308's are all over the place. Seeing a Dino on the street is pretty rare. So, it attracts more attention.

Fifth, nothing sounds like a Dino. Once you hear that motor, you know it's something special.

Sixth, although cars like a 275 GTB are gorgeous and more respected, a lot of people never heard of them. So, to the average Joe, it's a curiosity but not something you would really appreciate unless you were "into" Ferrari. Most people aren't.

It may not have a Ferrari badge on it, but the 246 Dino does attract a lot of attention.

Honestly, before I got the Diablo, neighbors didn't say much. I have had just about every Ferrari (modern) in my driveway at some point whether it was mine or someone else's and no one said much. The first day I had the Diablo, I had two different neighbors come down the block to see it and the doorbell ring because one of the neighbors and their kids "heard I got a Lamborghini" and asked if they all could see it.

One woman neighbor was walking her greyhound and stopped in front of it looking at it for at least 5 mins before I came out (I was in the garage and it was parked in front). WHen I came up, she said "What is it?" I told her "Lamborghini". She said "This is the most beautiful car I have ever seen." She never batted an eye at any of the other cars I had. I actually asked my wife at the end of the first day "Do you think they neighborhood even knew what they other cars were? It's as if this is the first one I have had."

So, if one of your neighbors gets an attention getting Ferrari from this list, get a Diablo and "one-up" them. ;-)

With that being said, a Ferrari F50 would freak out even the most idiotic of neighbors.
