Does anyone know of someone who sells and installs good quality lifts in Indianapolis? I have looked on the internet but am only coming up with companies that sell but don't appear to install. Specifically I am contemplating a 4 post lift.

    Thanks

Most companies usually have a list of independent installers. When I got mine, I paid $400 for the pick up at the Yellow Freight terminal, delivery to my garage and install it.

Talk with Kris with the R8 V10. He just had one installed in his garage.

Becareful of these lifts. Made in china and wouldn't use it for a lift to do work on. Storage is fine but not to work on. Get a Rotary lift. Best lift in my opinion. I've gone through 3 lifts and have a bend-pak now but think Rotary lifts by far are the best. They are also located in Indiana.

Thanks for the input Silvergts1998 - I had read other concerns about lifts made in China. Ill check out Rotary Lifts.

Brian S., are you going to be in the shop on Thursday the 23rd? I'd really like to stop by and see the new place and discuss future projects. I still have a ton of work I want to get done on both the 308 and 911 now that my rebuilt wrist is on the mend and cast-free.

    Thanks

My next lift will be a Rotary lift. Bend Pak's are not bad, but Rotary are engineered to take a beating and give back.

When assembling the lift, main thing is to make sure the cables are leveled right, that is where you can make a mistake and cause problems.

I think this test is about completehydrualics in indianapolis area.

If I am not mistaken Greg Smith is a competitor and also sells chinese lifts.

I bought a lift in June and had it installed from Greg Smith Co. The installler was good and fast. The lift is the 8000 plus model. I park my Z71 truck under it. Works great

Guys, how do you deal with the overhead track for the garage door? Or is that a deal breaker? I've got lots a headroom if not for the track.

should be able to relocate the track higher. Not sure if stronger springs might be needed to get the weight of the door up and around to the vertical portion, but its doable. Door guy should be able to answer this question with ease.

OK, sounds like wherever I can locate the track will be the ultimate clearance limit. Thanks for the advice.
