Dave, no holes in the bumper. They are as clean as a newborn baby's butt. Hmm to the injector follies. :) I do have another set of 24 lb. injectors that Ernie did not destroy. Maybe we need to use those if the ones in the car are too large for our modest application. Will check numbers and PM you.

And truth be told, I lent Ernie my 2nd set of 24's and they looked iffy, so I really don't care that 1 or 2 of them grenaded. At least I now have his 6 extra ones as back ups. Now here's a tidbit: Bruce uses 24 lb. injectors in his car and it drives fine with no codes thrown off. Use them in Ernie's car and you get the codes at lower rpms. Bruce is an 89; Ernie is a 90. It's M25 to M27. Might be something there.

As for tuning the Motec, we need more data on the injectors to fill the ECU tables, but our problem is spark now not fuel. Need to call Motec again. :(

I was looking through the spares trailer the other day and found a set of injectors and rails all bubble wrapped. That is what got me to thinking about what was in the car when we last ran it for break in. I think those you have were the ones used for the big cam engine.

Something didnt work on Ernie's car but did on another? REALLY? I find that hard to believe.

That ought to make Ernie go water tight!

May 7th for me..... in a dream maybe. I pulled an F40 out to the Pahrump track a number of years ago... interesting track, it redefines 'in the middle of no where'. Bored with racing for the day, you mosey down the road a mile to the Chicken Ranch..

I learned a couple of years ago that when going, say you're going to "Spring Mountain" instead of saying "Pahrump" if you intend to stay married.

Ahem, Pahrump is the whorehouse capital of Nevada if not the USA. So, yeah, like Bruce said, you are going to Spring Mountain, not the 'rump place. ;)

I DLed the entire database for every fuel injector ever made (70 pages of print) so we might be able to spec out the ones we have and need. Egad, this is just the fuel side of the equation. Still need fire. At this point I am thinking if it would be practical to replace the 4 stock coils with 2 Accels or something else so that stupid M48 can talk to it! :D The last thing we need is me starting to think. ;)

Some bosch numbers are not in the list of injectors ever made because they could be proprietary numbers. I ran accross this when trying to find a cross to the 550M injector and ended up paying 300 bucks for a new oem one instead of 300 bucks for an entire set of crossed ones.

Sometimes to encourage fire on an engine long since run or just outside of the fire zone which can get you some stink from which to tune try adding a little "starter spray" to the intake. The stuff is like magic at the appropriote time. Use intelligently. Also makes large "boom".

The list is quite long! In a conversation with the Bosch guys I told them what some of these Net sources showed for spray patterns, qty... the whole spec range. They just chuckled and said "I wonder where they got those numbers from?" What isnt listed is what you worry about. Partial data is just enough to make this dangerous.

Plugzit also has to factor in the secret manifold injector that car is sporting. Wonder how he wired that to the Motec.

Hillbillies also add nitrous to those injectors and just us a button. I got a 5 ft tall "D" cylinder of that stuff in my garage. You guys don't stand a change at the inaguarl GFRT race.

Just down the road within eye sight as I remember. Still was a bit foggy from the evening before at the Paris.

Crew Chief pass already in your name. Your only duty is to hold onto the spare bottle opener in the event of a catastrophic malfunction of the primary one.

Sounds like May 7th is the optimal date for the 358 to begin the GFRT season with a big win!

Holly crap! Do you know how many times I have been out to Vegas for the Spring NASCAR race and never even heard mention of Pahrump! That's what I love about F-Chat . . . you learn something new everyday. ;)

You drive down one of those roads where even the coyotes' are throwing themselves in front of cars just to end it all because they are so bored. When you are sure that you are so far away and in a place where no one will ever find anything but your bleached bones... your close to Pahrump.

GFRT, serving the Ferrari communities needs as Travel Agents and Tour Directors..... we also race cars once the Geritol/Metamucil/Red Bull concoction Gary serves our competitors, kicks in. Hell of an incentive to stay ahead of that group when on the track!

The GFRT is most definitely pumping some very innovative juices...it's about time for these cars to get a "make over".

The excitement is building and the word "BUDGET" is being tossed aside.

Me thinks there are some closet racers yet to step up for the great challange.

All decals on it , can be changed to some sort of hayburner!!! Only issue might be the lack of great braking abilities after a few laps!!!

I'm just now beginning to get a little worried, especially with the "all out no buget" efforts being developed by most competitors.

Is there goin to be a STREET STOCK CLASS???...

or is it goin to be just a big lump of "run what u brung" free for all? If so, then maybe I'll be the pace car.
