In my opinions to truly enjoy the cigars you need to savor the smoke for a little bit. I smoked a 1940s Upmann Dunhill Selection a while back and when savoring the smoke I was able to experience a slight rice cracker taste. It was one of the most interesting thing. Similar experience with a 97 Parti Short that had hints of mashed potatoes. I am one of the critics who laughs at people when they say they taste leather and what not. But it happens.

For Christmas I purchased a box of Fuente Anejo #77 (Shark). I borrowed the pic from another site (I was too lazy to grab my camera).

Been on vacation in Grand Cayman - been able to smoke cigars almost every night after the kiddies are sleeping - Bolivar, a few Cohibas and a nice R&J.

The prices here are about 2 x "MSRP" - which is not as bad as home. But I brought a lot of my own with me.

So I'll bring the Woodford Reserve, and we'll all meet up to smoke some Fuente over old F1 highlights? Don't worry about responding, I'm already walking out the door.

So I was looking through my humidors and realized I have some of the Padron Family Reserve 44, 45, and 46s. Now I have only smoked the 45s in Maduro as I bought a full box and am now down to my last couple.
Anyone an expert on these rare Padrons. Which one is best and why or shall I have to be the guinea pig? ;)

    ^^re: padrons

My favorite cigars. I like these more than the 1926 40th or 80th anni. Enjoy em. You won't find a better smoke outside vintage cubans.

On another note, scored a box of camacho triple maduro from my local shop that had them stashed away in the humi for years and forgot about them. Smoked one last night. Unbelievably sweet and leathery. Almost tasted like a really rich banana bread. Great smoke.

I got this from a friend the other day. I've never smoked a cigar like this.

Should I separate them before smoking? Seems like it would be fun to lite them up as a set, but hard to smoke.

Yes. That is three cigars wrapped for easier shipping from the old days.

That is not why they were done like that. It was a factory workers cigar

Back in the olden days cigar factories allowed workers to take home 1 cigars a day. One roller one day combined three single dalia (lonsdale) sized cigars into one braided cigar. Thus being able to take those home. This would happen for years before they came up for Partgas and H Upmann.

Edit: In reality no one really knows, but this is the most accepted story. Hey it is cuba.
