Greetings. A few years back the FOC-Midwest had a great little contest called Mille Miglia. The point was to promote driving the Ferraris on a regular basis. With Andreas's permission, I'm stealing the idea for us. Rules: 1. Open to Fchatters living in Texas. 2. To participate, post a photo of your odometer of your car along with the date and your username written on a sheet of paper so we can clearly see it. 3. Tell us what kind of Ferrari it is. Only Ferraris are eligible. 4. Contest begins Jan 15, 2011. You can post start photos up from now until midnight central time Jan 15, 2011. Yes, this means if you post start pics early you get a jump. So be it. 5. Contest ends Jan 4, 2012 at midnight central time. 6. Between Jan 1 2012 and Jan 4 2012, post another photo of your odometer along with the date and your username written on a sheet of paper so we can clearly see it. ***note, this will also be your start picture for the 2012 contest *** 7. Most miles driven during the year wins. In case of tie, the older car wins. If still tied, then the higher Fchat subscription level wins. 8. If you change cars during the year or own multiple Ferraris, the mileage will be added together. Each car will require the odometer documentation as shown above. You can join the competition late with proper documentation. Contact me with questions. 9. I am not eligible for the contest. 10. There are no entry fees. 11. I make and interpret all the rules and eligibility. If you have questions, ask me and I'll try to clarify. This contest is not associated with any club or Ferrarichat.com. Please obey all applicable traffic laws. 12. This is based on the honor system. Please respect that. If you win, you get a plaque or trophy of some sort. In addition, you'll get your name, miles and years engraved on a permanent Texas Mille Miglia Cup. Hopefully some day it will be famous. Remember, it's just for fun.
Bugger, I thought the old thread would carry through, just posted there. I've spent 20 days a month in TX for the last year. I'll risk being disqualified if I win. 1987 Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome idea Tillman! I want that trophy! I've put 9,000 miles on mine since September so I'm nutz enough to win...
Hello Tillman. I have a question about this. I have more than one Ferrari and they are all driven. Does the total mileage count for all three totalled together at the end ? Thanks, GO.
Rule #13: Fchatters who periodically total out their daily driver Ferraris are not eligible to participate.
The Boxer's last mileage is still the one to start 2011 Image Unavailable, Please Login Soon, My Precious.................Soon......... However, a carbureted addition has just joined the family, although I haven't taken delivery yet, and I can't recall the mileage at the moment. Teaser pic: Image Unavailable, Please Login I think it was in the 30 or 40K range. It's replacing the S4, so it'll be driven regularly.
Good luck to everyone for 2011. Happy driving!!! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Whatsamatter Mr. Site Admin? Too busy fishing to post another little picture? The line for your Egg McMuffin longer than usual so you're running behind? Here's MY MILEAGE FOR STARTING 2011. Image Unavailable, Please Login
but my keyboard is still sticky! I keep forgetting why I like you guys so much! I just adopted 2 dozen adult illegal immigrants that all have Ferraris! Y'all are toast this year, they keeping talking about all these "quick" runs from south of the border up North. Not sure what they are hauling, but I will have over 200k Ferrari miles as part of the "family" contest. Because I won't have any time left after duplicating my mileage post, my 328 will only get 200 miles this year and I will forget to post results while making fun of others. Rob 1 Jim 1 Jarrett 1. Oh wait, someone told me I'm the admin, with 2 clicks I can copy my post from the other thread! OK, forget everything else I said.
except for my trip to TYLER and back not much on the 328. Challenge car got some good use this year 4 long race weekends. doesn't count, but Maserati will have another 12-14k year.
