Been studying up on the cam timing deal from the my 348 page and I have a couple of questions: First, does anyone have a step by step procedure for dialing those things in, and secondly on the my348 page there is a set up for 300hp cat and 320hp non cat. I have bypassed the cats on my engine, should I set mine up now for 320? That would be great if possible. My car is a 91 348 (later).
It sounds as though you have a workshop manual for the car, in which case it gives you a good explanation on the procedure. As long as you alreay know how to read the measuring equipment the procedure they give is relatively clear. I've never had an issue with making a slight adjustment to camshaft timing to get more "personality" from the engine, you should be fine as long as it's within spec.
