    When my car is cold- ie did not run for a few days- it will require two to three cranking before starting.That is, after a crank, it will fire up but stop...i will need do it two to three time, then the engine will engage and stabilize quickly. When the engine is hot or even simply warm to a hand touch, it will start first shot perfectly. For greater precision- i mean cold start summer months.Service is up to speed.

    Second question- as i drive over bumpy pavement, i get a clunk noise in the front wheels-nothing is loose. The sound seems to diminish as the car is driven for a while.

    Suggestions as to what to look for would be much appreciated

    my 512tr starts up first time, so something amiss on yours. try the tech section

    I had that clunking noise over rough surfaces in the 512M, it was the steering rack. But check with your mechanic to be sure
