I like the look but the exhaust tips could of been in a better spot, I think their too close to the edges of the bumper

I think you'll find Ferrari were far more concerned about how this car performed than its aesthetic looks, after all, why revert back to 348 style body panels when the 355 had already replaced it?.

The idea was to do some real world testing of their next generation hypercar on a daily basis without giving away what it would look like, a trick that this car performed perfectly.

I love the front spoiler cutout and the black on the front bonnet, but the paddle-shift inside kills it for me.

Somehow I have a hard time believing that ferrari wasnt so concerned about the looks, after all it is a ferrari right? And I really like the 348 body panels so to me this car looks very attractive. I think the stretched wheelbase really makes it look like a super car

Absolutely, the side strakes were a good visual distraction to make the other body differences less noticeable to casual observers. I wonder just how reliable this test car is compared to a production car; if something breaks in the engine, good luck finding parts!

My opinion.... the fact that they chose the 348 platform to build this, speaks volumes!!

Yes it means that they needed an nondescript donkey/mule that will not draw any attention to its self while testing on the road. It was either the 348 or Mondial:)

They didn't use the 348 platform to develop the Enzo. The only similarities between the two are the engine placement and badges, hardly a platform. The 348 getup was a disguise, nothing to do with the technical development of the vehicle.

Still quite the unique car for the collector and enthusiast. I'd buy it if I had the spare coin to dole out. That's one to hold onto.

    Bite me...

Incorrect, somewhat. A 348 absolutely WAS the donor for this prototype, I didn't say that the actual Enzo was based on the 348!
