Marc here is some pics of the IPOD and Alcantara presentation materials that came with the 16M. I'm under the assumption that its including in everyone of the 499.

Kuzi: Post your weights from the Scud and the 16M !

Then everybody who drives a race car will realize that the 16M is for girls and the Scud is for men !

Thank you Kuzi! Yes, I have the big book of the 16M ( last picture ), but not the Ipod/Iphone, including the CD. I have already asked my dealer about this and they promised me to find out why, when , what etc..

Both cars are rosso corsa. The CS next to the 16M in the pic is rosso scuderia.

Thanks for the fast reply. Due to the lighting in Jason's pictures I was thinking that your 16M might be Rosso Monza.

    Thanks.

You're right Ben, that 16M doesn't look like rosso corsa but almost like nuovo rosso scuderia. The lighting makes it appear more metallic.

Kuzi and I noticed two more differences between the 16M and the SCUD today.

    1) the rear deck lid of the Scuderia has a more dramatic slope (i.e., steeper)

    2) the rear air intakes are shaped differently

Very interesting the number of technical and cosmetic differences between the two cars.

my 16m is quieter than my f430 spider. how do i get it to sound better and more like the spider? no burbling under less than half throttle?

You can remove the two small screens on the corners above the diffuser and pull the exhaust valve connections so that the flaps are always open. It is quite loud after that, but it definitely does a ton of burbling. There are threads on fchat that show this mod. Be sure to plug the end of the tubes with a drywall screw or something so that you don't suck and debris into the vacuum system.

It is also possible to hook up a remote control system or toggle switch to actuate the exhaust valves so that you can open/close them at will.

Not to harp on this point, but I'll bet that this innocent speculation will wind up as "fact" in many minds. They will go to their death defending the "fact" that the 16M has a double clutch tranny.

So much of the misinformation presented on public forums like FChat originates with a comment like this.

Yep. 16M is definitely not a double clutch tranny. I don't think it would be nearly as much fun if it was that smooth.

That is really odd that they would be stripped, you should get that fixed. Of course you can also get at it if you remove the diffuser. You may be able to get at it from the engine compartment if you remove the heat shields near the exhaust.

In any event, if you only go half way, it may sound a bit odd but other than that no ill effects that i'm aware of.
