My dealer told me that the 16m gearbox software is faster than the scuderia, anyone knows about this?
Drove both and I couldn't tell the diffrence...I am not sure that one could notice the time's between the two because they are so quick.
Is that an updated confirmation to your question or reasserting what the dealer told you? I have never heard that the F1 is different either. The only difference (besides coupe/spider differences) was that the exhaust on the 16m was retuned.
Has the 16M shifting speed being faster ever been confirmed? Has anyone driven a SCUD and 16M that can compare the feel of the gearbox - are they different?
Ferrari's website indicates the 430 Scud can shift gears in 60 ms which is the same number all the auto mags quote. I couldn't find a similar stat re the 16M. A search through Car and Driver claims the 16M has the same gear box with the same times as the Scud.
The 16M does have 60 millisecond shifts mate! http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/FirstDrives/Ferrari-430-4.3-V8-Scuderia-Spider-16M/241295/
