Does and A/C compressor have an "up"? The Sanden 508 compressor for my '87 Mondial would install much simpler if I could rotate it 90 degrees in the brackets that attach it to the mount on the timing belt cover. It looks to me as if this is possible if the four tabs around the compressor are symmetrical, I haven't tried yet. So, if it is possible, would it in any way harm the compressor to be rotated, i.e. oil isn't in the right spot, etc. The compressor seems to install with the oil fill plug in the up position, but is this necessary? Thanks, Peter
Yes, the Sanden documents are far above average. http://www.sanden.com/images/SD_Service_Guide_Rev.2.pdf Image Unavailable, Please Login
