I just sent an email to author of the Jalopnik article, who is also their News Editor, Matt Hardigree.

You're right - not his car. The one in the pic has tan interior, but the first crashed 348 had black interior. I think the headlight assembly was still there post-crash though.

Just my observations. I rarely post. I mostly observe and read topics and catalog ideas/suggestions to make my car better. I was the person to first report the location of the car and from what I seen and from the quote above raises eyebrows with me.

First off. 348Tony should have reported the theft only with no details. His first mistake. Second, once you fib-you have to keep remembering that fib. Hard to do. I'm not accusing anyone but just my opinion. Third. Reporting the theft to fchat with details makes all of us witnesses. i.e he can't say Oh I really did not leave the keys in the ignition.

Owner says he drove car saturday in quote above. I arrived to work Saturday morning for 7am and seen car and have time card to prove it. Therefore car had to have been taken early am saturday. Explain that. Anyone witness owner driving car saturday morning and will testify to that.

Also, it was wet and slurry on the roads and car was immaculately clean`to have been driven. Also, there was no fiberglass/pieces of car laying near or around car. From damage to rear bumper (hole in bumper) you would think something would be in the immediate area.
Also, there was a police towing sticker placed on the car sunday. When was car reported stolen ??? Police would run vin and tow car themselves if car had been reported stolen to them. That area of town is active early am saturday with clubgoers, and police to notice the car. Therefore that car is noticeable and police will note the time they seen the car there if that was their beat they were patrolling.

These are my observations and I would strongly suggest 348Tony say nothing else to the forum about until the situation clears. Otherwise more discrepancies may surface.

    Well, that answers Jedi's question.

So, with my detective hat on, this means that if it was professionally detailed after the spin/ditch encounter on the freeway, then the detailer would have info on the condition of the car at the time of the detailing and he/she could confirm if the damage on the car was already there at that time.

If the car was undamaged and just grassy/dirty, then, obviously, the damage occured after the freeway spin and that would give the whole story more credence.

Well, you have the time card to prove what time you got to work... you have nothing to prove you saw the car there at that time.

Not taking sides, just pointing that out.

I actually hope Tony posts to give a thorough explanation of everything that happened. It's easy to give a bulletproof timeline when it's the truth and you have nothing to hide. I think most of us are hoping we are wrong in our suspicions.

The stolen car was parked right next door at my job. There is also a McDonalds there also. I do not work at the mcdonalds though i eat lunch there often. We have over 15 security cameras at my job with night vision pointing inside the workplace and outside the workplace which overlapp and show where this car was parked. They also have the current time and date imposed and yes they do show my car passing by the location of the car in question.

I got proof to bust the case wide open but I will let it play out and wait to see how much the Enquirer or Inside Edition is willing to pay .

If that isn't sarcasm, he might be lying about not working at Mcdonalds...

I wonder if the Enquirer or Inside Edition will ask you how you afford your Ferrari 355 on an hourly wage.

You work at the liquor store at the west end of the property or behind Ronnie Macs? ( to the north)
