Nice GTB, Rocco. Looking at the wheels, I'd say that car sold new at Ferrari of San Diego.

Oops, you did say Euro when you introduced the car. Glad to see it has the original wheel center caps. You can't get those anymore. I remember a judge at a concours telling me that my center caps weren't clear and he deducted 1/2 point for that.

The same judge told me my license plate lights weren't working. I closed the rear deck and said: "Now look."

Most people don't know that the plate lamps are grounded through the J hook latch. Don't mess with the italian engineers!

It has its original dry sump unit. The cam and belt covers have been painted but thank god that they weren't sand blasted. They will be brought back to original condition with out a spray bottle.

truly amazing how this car looks in pics after a wash (pics look fantastic)- its still a project car that needs a full restore. Funny - many would call it a driver ;)

    Rock,

Can you post more photos of the back of the console between the seats. My new '77 has some console mods and I want to see what I am looking for to get it back to stock. Here is what I am working with.

Thanks, Edwardo. I have all four of my 1976 vintage caps. The story was meant to show how some regional concours judges are ignorant of certain details.

Can you catch me up to speed on the centercap story. I have an 85. Are the 70's different? Are they supposed to be cloudy or is that the only condition originals are ever in? Could you not polish them w/plastic polish? I believe mine are original and I even bought another set for cheap as the one on my spare is cracked and at the time I cared. LOL Thanks

They're not really cloudy, Brian. The clear plastic covering the emblem is several mm. thick and so the emblem is not as distinct as it is on later center caps. The thick plastic on mine seems to have lost just a bit of clarity.

    Barry is right on.

These old Black Caps, are thinner and cheep looking.
The one I posted is from box Ferrari Part Number,,, 000226245

There are new Ferrari caps and faux Black Ferrari caps on the market now.
    Be careful.
