Far too cheap when I compared it with many Espada here in Europe, you could sell it here for 67-70.000 US$...

I have the same feeling, but I gave my word and a handsahke to a buyer for the car in February of next year...and I guess I was raised the old fashion way...your word and handshake are best..i dont even have a deposit or paperwork from the buyer...but his word and mine are all I need..

DANG, just wish the world could get back to those terms.

Does the owner lied to me ? He argued that his car never been offered to EuroExpo, I should make a mistake... I show him some pics and he argued his car is "Lamborghini Bianco"... not pearl white as people on Forum seems to claim, source of the popular error... any comment ?

Hi, aspiring Espada owner and long-time thread-watcher here. Sorry to chime in with my first post but I think you might be interested in this bit of sleuthing:

Post #18 in this LamboP0wer thread (May 2008, http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:ZW9ETLDlhmsJ:www.**********.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=31397&view=findpost&p=449268 ) mentions Espada #9014 at Automusée, but has no link.
This post (December 2007, http://storic-italia.forums-actifs.com/petites-annonces-auto-f2/lamborghini-t196.htm ) has a link to an Espada at Automusée, but the link is dead.
The archive of that link (March 2008, http://web.archive.org/web/20080318190909/http://www.automusee.fr/fr/voiture142.html ) shows a white 1973 Espada S3 - but no chassis number.

I'm 99.9% sure it is #9014 - how many white 1973 Espada S3s with the same interior (check the rear view at the Automusée page) and windshield sticker arrangement and particular style of roof aerial can there be not just within France, but only 50km from each other! Interesting that the price has increased from €23900 to €42800 in just two years.

    Regards,
    Harrison

    Harrison,
you are incredibly helpfull... I've noticed on the front pic that the median line in the middle of engine hood is not painted in black as well as on the pic from Ebay shop. So definitively, this is the same car. The price might be explained by all the last bills... but it's a good sign : he needs to sell even if he raised his price !

I have had a SIII auto since 1993 and want to change it to a manual car. I have
sourced a gearbox and pedal box and hopefuly the remaining components. I intend
to do some other engine out works so may as well do everything at the same time.
Has anyone carried out this conversion? Any advice or tips?
I know the exhaust is differnt but it is wider on the auto so can use it
Also the diff crown wheel etc has a differnet ratio but as i just rebuilt the
diff with new crown wheel etc I was intending to use it and see how the higher
gearing suits. Does anyone have the calculations for the difference?
    Any other advice?
    Regards

These are corrected figures as I double checked the dunlop tech book for tyres and and they showed a different diameter and think this is more accurate than avaialable on the web and coincides more with Motor magazines road test in 1972 although they use the 4.5.1 final drive. I alos made one copying mistake for 4th

The bottom figures are for the auto with the 12/43 tooth set

That car has a plate from my region. The name of the 1st owner was Jolivot i beleive (jovignot?). He was a Lambo fan. He had a business in Switzerland. I beleive he actually plated his car in Switzerland if my memory dont fail me. May be this is the same car. I remember this green espada roaming in my neighbourhood (town Le Creusot) . I saw it around mi-late seventies. It seems the current seller is also from Saone Et loire. Would be interesting to know how small this world has become.
If the new owner bought it in 83 then this car has always been owned by people from the same area

    Mr. JOVIGNOT was 1st owner.
Then Edmond Ciclet working for his own bought it in 1980.
    Sold it to unknown person.
Have it back for sale in 1983.
Current owner bought it from Edmond, so for last 28 years.
It was offered for sale by JOLIVET near Lyon back in 1998, then in 2007 by Auto Musée & GT Spirit. Still unsold.

I saw it a week ago... very nice Espada S3 excepted the fact it has not been run enough last 10 years. There are too many works to be done before enjoying. At this price level it must be ready to go !

Can anyone help please. We have a Series 3 espada 1974 and its nearing the completion of a full restoration. We need a set of headlamps for a r/h drive, Carello were the originals and they have the parking light in one of them,
    thanks Lynne

I have an early SII LHD European spec so keep that in mind. Mine has the the H1 style bulbs for both low beam and high beam. That's somewhat rare. I have seen a new vendor on Ebay that's advertising replacement (some off brand) headlamp reflectors & bulbs with the parking lamp in the low beam I believe but they're probably LHD oriented. Take a look on there. I think they were located in Germany and they had a listing under Carello. You coulkd possibly ask them if they have what you're looking for. Original Carello units will be very expensive but there are Hella replacements. They have the flat faced lens though.

I'm using the Hella units for my hi-beams and they work very well. Reasonably priced too.

Have you identified the proper Carello numbers for hi & low beam both for the lens front as well as the number on the backside of the reflector?
