I was surprised too. It's almost as if the GT3 RS has too much power for the grip and brakes.

However, I expect better on such tires and on a bone dry, hot track.

If I waste 30 minutes of my life posting proof. Will you give me the permission to call you some names?

Once again, if you're legit, learn how to drive a 911. More specifically, maybe you should learn how to drive a manual transmission.

    FYI, Nurburgring Lap Times:

    F430 F1..........7:55
    GT3 RS mkii.....7:33

    It ain't the car, mate.

Man I'm glad someone posted this fact.............. And to the OP....good god man, the car is a track weapon and a beast even with the stock setup from the factory. I'd strongly suggest you drop out of this post (also as a previously banned user), as you have no idea on this planet about which you speak. Most of your postings seem to start arguments based on non-factual information. (And the stock MPSC's not good tires.......ahhhh)

I know it's fast. It's just that I expected more from all the hype. I feel it's a car that works against you rather then with you.

What are your qualifications as a driver of high performance cars that allow you to make such an assessment?

22 seconds better than an F430 is pretty huge.

As others have posted, it's probably down to the driver.

To be fair to the 430, the GT3 RS spent its life on the Ring and has semi slicks. Im not saying the GT3 RS isnt a track monster though, it is.

I race indoor karts - huge rearwards weight bias - trick is - slow in, fast out. If you don't get the speed down before the corner - you will be a sitting duck down the next fast section as you would of gotten no exit. I will start lightly riding the throttle almost right after turn in. I hit full throttle in the corner far before I ever ever would in my front engined 944.

If something with a rearwards weight bias is pushing in a corner - you either have serious alignment issues, tire pressure, or you are coming in far too hot and never giving the front tires a chance to bite.

The only advantage of using carbon ceramics is because they are lighter and after a while of lapping in the track they are fade resistance. Even at professional races until very recently the RSR was using steel brakes and not the CCB variant, I don't know if they still do now.

I did the 'ring in 7:14 in my Pagani Zonda R.

And if I can get the throttle button fixed on my Xbox 360 Controller, I could very likely drop 2 more minutes off of that time.

I just did the ring in the GT3...

    Are you counting?

    Still counting?

    Almost there...

Ahh yes. 22 seconds later, I just saw the 430 who started next to me.

    :);)

I feel the opposite way. I have done more than my fair share of track days and I think the GT3 is the king of the street/track cars. I have driven a wide variety of cars and I just keep going back to the GT3.

The one your were driving must have been a dud.
