    Dr. Jaffe, great story- he certainly was a prankster, you should have seen Benny in church, haha. I believe we met at a Westfield car show last summer. Thanks for the condolences. Today is the first day of the auction. I wasn't able to make it out there (or Cavallino) due to family obligations but eager to hear how it went.

    Bidding opened, I think it stalled at $950k and the auctioneer said something like, "it's not going to sell for this, we need to move on."

    Sorry to rehash an old thread; does anyone know the serial number to Benny's Dino? It's not on the Barchetta media center page that shows his collection, and it's not listed with the auction results on Gooding's site.

    Hi NNO according to Goodings site before the Scottsdale auction, it is 1973 246 GTS 05480 Fly Yellow/Black.. I got to see Mr. Caiola's collection a few times including the 333, FXX, and F40 LM/GTE? quite a collection.

    not sure when he bought it, (and no reflection on the car as I haven't seen it!) it does seem to have journeyed around. Also as per other threads, it is/will be returned to Rosso Rubino which is believed to be the original paint.
