Hi everyone, I am in the process of cleaning out the garage to make room for new projects and help with a limited time schedule. I love to fabricate and seem to get into too many projects at once. Last fall I was working on a 348 headlight project that I was going to sell as a kit, but my time has been truncated drastically and I just don't have time to finish it. The project is to develop a 90mm Hella replacement headlight set for the 348 and 355. the brackets have been fabricated and fit, but the mounting holes for the lights and some other small things need to be completed before it would be ready. I completed the rough install for both left and right sides and also sourced the weather pack connectors for a clean install. The initial tests on the car have gone well and there is not much left to do. The brackets can be made by the same aircraft company that makes the 348 replacement lenses I sell. They have the jigs set-up to make more if needed. I have attached pics below for the project. Here is a list of parts I have. This is a good project for those looking to make a kit to sell or if you just want to modify your car. I will be placing an ad in the for sale section later today. Parts: (2) high beam 90mm Hella lights (2) low beam 90mm lights (1) left custom mounting bracket (1) right custom mounting bracket (6) threaded mounting clips (6) mounting screws (4) weather pak connectors for integration with OEM harness. (2) paper patterns used to make the brackets Thanks, Mike Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, each light can be independently adjusted at 4 possible points. If you look at each light you will see 3 corner screws in holes that surround each light. The pics I put up are from a test fit. I have them aimed now, I'll see if I can post more pics later this week. --Mike
