Ehh...She looks lke a beautiful woman, who happens to be in her later months of being pregnant! Or worse, the mother-in-law, who is MAD, and coming to stay with you, until you straighten out! May be perfect in function and at speeds that are rarely visited, but you have to see it everyday! Is this Pininfarina's latest? It doesn't grab my soul like their Art from the past. Ciao...Paolo
The rear end looks fugly from side on. Woulda been better a bit mote stretched in the back end. Maybe they think it's the 2011 Ferrari version of the Jaguar E-Type.
Getting even worse.. if possible.. are they trying to make a station wagon?? Anyone who wants this look should just get an Espada and be done with it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lamborghini_Espada
I'm just going to publicly announce I actually like this car! V12 + DSG just awesome and it looks just fine.
A couple of 458 owners on the Pistonheads board saw in at Maranello and said it is an impressive car that has real presence on the road.
Not that I make it a habit to go against popular opinion (though its not the first time either!)......I'm with you , I like it also I didn't think I liked it at first, but I tried not to be too quick to judge and it has grown on me....I'm ok with that, no need to book the surgeon just yet. I do wish it didn't look so closely related to the Z3 though
I think it will be a lovely thing but I'm not sure what it's good for. For sporty driving or track work? No, that'll be the 458. For long distance touring? Maybe, but no-one does that any more. Daily driver? Too big, heavy and expensive. Weekend toy? Hardly. I guess it makes sense in snow-bound Europe and Northern USA but surely not here. I still like it though.
......... oh , , I know I need to get out more .... What is a "shooting brake" ?? I have seen this mentioned in a few other FF threads and I have no idea what it is.
Not sure if a pic has been posted of the interior, but here is one from the FF section. Image Unavailable, Please Login
,, , I forgot to look there , thanks I went into Google images after looking at that link and searched "Lynx Eventer" ..... this led me to a photo of some other cars , , sure enough the XJS appeared with some other examples of "Shooting Brakes" ........ they are not nice. First up is the 944 ...... a horrible mess of a 365 Daytona ........ the Jag XJS .... an Aston Martin I'm still at a loss to understand why Ferrari is spending money on the FF. Sure some costs can be shared with other models but why start diluting your brand equity with making new models just cause the other guys make them too. Lamborghini have been releasing "specials" of it's sports cars and doing fine with that way of releasing new cars. Plenty have stated that this technique is getting tired , , sure that is true. Lamborghini have not released a car that may have huge depreciation (more than normal) like the FF. The FF seems to be chasing people who want to drive really fast in snow and rain ? How fast can you drive in snow and rain ? The answer is as fast as the guy in front of you .... not very at all. In Australia we rarely get rain ,,,,,,, yeah , I know about all the floods, but honestly where and when during all these downpours could you drive an FF anywhere near its limit ? I've ridden a motorcycle to work every day since 1981 , , it's pretty rare I put the wet weather gear on. You have to remember Australia is a VERY small market for Ferraris compared to the rest of the world. And I am pretty sure they are catering for the rest of the world in regards to this car.
