Indeedly-do, my sharp-eyed knower-of-many-wild-things [see Ill. 2], "Monoponies", or, as they are called in popular folklore, "Unicorns" are so . . . ordinary.

I'm getting some pix (mostly the older ones), but I'm still getting some threads with an empty box marked "Attached Images" (in firefox).
(e.g. in this thread -- just empty boxes.)

Try Shift + F5 + R on pages where images are.

I did -- doesn't work on this version of firefox.
I also cleared the cache and even deleted the cache index (forcing firefox to rebuild it).
    Still no joy.

The "show source" attachment blocks are identical between the images that show and the ones that don't, other than the attachment ids.

I checked, and older attachments in threads I'd never looked at before also load, so I'm not looking at cached attachments. (Especially since I cleared out the cache.)

I'm getting all the attachments on evolutionm forum (also vbulletin -- v3.7.4, there)

Trying to narrow down the break point: pix (e.g. in the bikini thread) from yesterday (sunday) 3:58pm (ET) and earlier load. Pictures (on the FF thread) from 6:05pm and later don't. Embedded utubes still seem to appear.

I've been all over the forum, and I don't have any attachments showing up after that time.

E.g. this thread, I'm just showing the empty box marked "attached images".

It's the same on every thread: the attachments before 4pm et show up, the ones after 6pm or so don't.

Hmm. I cleared the cache, cookies, and everything, and tried all four domains. (Had to log into each separately.)

The three you listed show recent images. "www.ferrarichat.com" still doesn't. (Still same symptoms.)

    Aha! Found it.
In the past, I'd had several issues where ferrarichat's domain name wouldn't resolve through DNS.
I just had the same problem with the alternative names a few minutes ago.

    But ferrarichat still resolved.
Because I'd copied the IP address into the /etc/hosts table.
    The *old* IP address.

After clearing the browser cache once more and accessing the new address, the pix are showing up.

Anyone still having pix problems may want to see if their DNS server has cached the old IP address.
(Most spec servers should have updated within a day or two.)

(BTW: DNS is resolving again, for now.)

Quick question which I think is related.

When I get the emails to threads that I am subscribed to they seem to come in clusters. When I check the email I may have nothing, then less than five minutes later I have seen it pop up with 99+ emails.

Will it go back to sending them as the new posts are made? Or will it continue in these clusters?

hmm, this is over my head right now as I don't use email subscriptions. the move to new servers shouldn't have impacted that process at all. as a user you can set your own notifications for immediate, daily, weekly, etc updates. are your settings in User CP for subscribed threads as you want them? thanks.

Both your DNS servers are on the same subnet, so they can be out of contact at the same time.
You might want to consider one a geographically separated secondary DNS service.

    Just a suggestion.

(I had that problem on my domain -- the DNS provider I was using upgraded all his routers at the same time .... and took himself off the air, even with different subnets. And took me off the air, too. So now I have secondaries in both US and UK.)
