Do any 360 owners plan on simply keeping their 'dream' 360 permanently instead of trading them in or upgrading to newer models? What happens when 360s start hitting very high miles ?? 60k miles, 70k miles, etc. ?

Just like any higher milage cars that are getting older you will perform regular scheduled maintenance and may need to do a little restoration over time. Ancillary parts will go bad from time to time (e.g. stereo, heater, ac, electronics, belts, hoses, seals....etc.) and the suspension and brakes will need service as they are wear items over time. If you really love it and want to keep it then you will need to put money into it to keep it fresh......Steve

Steve, would you agree that the 360's design is simply timeless and beautiful? I love my 996 Turbo and it's capabilities but a 360 drove by me today and I realized that deep down inside I have to get this car soon or I will regret it. Any Ferrari is wonderful, but the 360 is really striking....

Have a tuned 996 turbo myself, for less than a year now only, and I still feel the same way. It is so fast and capable, but it is not a ferrari. My poison though is the 430. I really am trying to make myself wait for a bit even if I can afford it. I do not want to be too anxious and enjoy the anticipation as well.

I feel it will be near unsellable at 70k+ and 360 gets a lot of static from many side.
like too many made, un powered, 430 is so much better etc

many were made which make aftermarket easier to come by.

unpowered... it set the bar for its time and compared to the new breed the 430 is unpowered also,

430 is better because its the improved version of the 360 and lots more money.

NO one thinks these cars car go high miles without a rebuild.

PS I'm at 57k and will be deep into 60h by the end of the year

Yes, the 360 is very seductive and I can understand why one would chose to buy that model over others.

If you love it, that's all that matters. I said it in another thread, a P-Car is the gateway drug to the F-Car.

P-Car is a great car, but will never give the F-Car experience.

I say you keep your Turbo and add the 360 :D.......Life is good.........Steve

Good for you. I see no reason that the car will not give you many more years of fun.

Just need to care for it the way it deserves, and she will treat you right for a long time to come.....Enjoy.......Steve

I'm keepin' mine for a *long* time. Besides the fact there's no good reason to trade other than vanity, they're practically worthless and plumeting fast. A well kept 360 will last way longer than 70K miles. The classic flowing lines will always look great and it's an incredibly sweet driving car so what's not to like?

My view. It's a car, and a modern car at that. Fully capable of going to 100k miles plus (as is more common in Europe as I understand)

I have no intentions of ever selling mine, but like any car: porsche, etc. I know she will require maintainence as she ages (shocks, brakes, poss. MAF, etc.) The higher the miles, again like any car, the lower the value and the price you can sell it for.

C'mon lets not be dramatic.. an 80 thousand mile 360 will sell. It's just too beautiful. It just won't sell for the same price as a 30 thousand mile car. The same thing as a 911, or Boxster or any other car.

Its common to see over 100k on them in Europe. Also as they are a modern car they won't have rust issues or similar that made older Ferraris more labour intensive as they got older.

The 360 is the best looking modern F car IMO. It is stunning and I like it better than my car looks wise. They still command a huge presence wherever they go. I assume parts etc will continue to be more available and reasonable. I don't think you can replace it for economically. Run the heck out of it and enjoy :)

Exactly. I have seen at least one 125k mile 360 over here. 70k is by no means "worn out".
I know of Alfa V6 owners (166, 156, GTV) and a few BMW owners with 200k miles and more - all without rebuilding. If a car is maintained and driven normally (not too hard and not all the time) it wil go 250k before things really start to become expensive. My brother just sold his Volvo 850i wagon with more than 300k on the odo - it still ran strong and without any oil use. They just became bored with it :D

As any plane mechanic will tell you, it all depends on maintenance. If a car is properly kept up through the years, there won't be a backlog and the risk of buying higher mileage is very minimal. You can benefit from expenses and improvements the previous owner has already made (such as the valve guide issue on the 355's). Documentation is imho not that important on low mileage examples but much more on a high mileage one.

Cosmetically might be different but I have seen tatty 30k mile cars and nice 150k mile - against the rule, yes, but it does happen.

I have no intentions of selling mine, at least anytime soon. I hope to enjoy many miles and many years, and if I ever sell it I hope it is because there is something from Ferrari that I just need to have and it comes down to a price I can handle :)

I will be keeping my 360 for a long time I think they are beautiful and plenty of power for my needs. I don't think any of the newer cars look any better. Just look at the 430, then the 458, and now the new FF (it makes the Porsche panamara look good!).

Call me old fashion, but I just dont like the new styles.

    Hi out there

As I ihave said in previous posts, I have owned many exotic cars over the years (at one point I had 5 at the same time - they all uysed to be cheap after all). AS for Ferraris, they don't get old, they get better - like fine wine.

I had a 1966 GTC for a long long time and it was always a pleasure. Once everything got 'right' it wasn't much of a hassle either. I finally sold it when it became so valuable - yes people, if you hold on long enough your car will begin to Appreciate - that I needed the money more than the car.

I used part of the money to buy a 360 - my first 'modern' exotic. Wow - what a car!! It will easilly out-perform any of the old cars I used to own. Moreover it is far more comfortable and easier to drive.

I picked a 360 because IMO it is the best of the modern designs - the most classic and timeless. I plan to keep it forever - or at least until I get to old to drive it.

AS far as I am concerned, this concept of buying and then always trading up to the newer model is craziness. You get burned financially on each transaction. Buy and hold is the prudent strategy.

I am contented with my 360 that is 60k miles. I don't wanna upgrade it into higher miles.. It is cool enough for me.
