I have a barely used Frigidaire 12,000 BTU window A/C that I am not taking to Nebraska.

Anyone in the Portland area need it?

First $50 takes it; I think I paid $400 for it in 2009.

PM me. You have to come pick it up by Monday and take it out of my upstairs window. I'll just leave it here if nobody wants it.

And no, I'm not going to use CL....I don't want any weirdos coming to my house to get it!

And people make fun of Omaha for being podunk...at least we have central A/C, and believe me, YOU NEED IT!!!!! Oh, to be in a more temperate environment.

I would guess that a MAJORITY of homes in the NW don't have central A/C. I don't.
I have a floor unit (wall vented) in the Master that we use MAYBE 1 or 2 weeks per
year total. It just doesn't get all that hot here.

My cousin bought a house in Redmond, and it was brand new. No central A/C. I would freak if I didn't have A/C down here.

We've lived in Portland for 13 years and have used the a/c on fewer than 30 days. We're in a heavily wooded area. We open the skylights and keep on the ceiling fans. The downside of having such mild summers is that, for safety's sake, we closed the pool when our youngest was born and never reopened it; and that was over 10 years ago.

I'm flattered - you think we're less weird?
