Haha, sounded like you won the Oscar.

Congrats on having your dream come true. Isn't it great? Its great to hear stories like this. Enjoy it. I live in Basking Ridge so maybe I'll see your car around. Don't forget to wave when you see a white Exige on the road.

P.S. Will this snow thing ever end?

Jealous, a little anyway. Been obsessed over a giallo 430 spider for about a month now, and we were really close to a deal but it's on the edge of a knife now. Not sure it's going to happen, so may be playing with the 360 spider for another year. I could go for another car, I suppose, but this would be an emotional loss. I'll probably walk away until i just happen to fall for another one.

There should be a sticker in the center of the underside of the front hood which will give the color name.
You guys have that right- this snow is killing me! I want to drive so badly but will patiently wait until the salt is gone like I have done every other year. But then that first drive in the Spring (or late winter if we get a really good rainstorm) is sooo good.

Rmani- since others are chiming in regarding the rims and challenge grill I'll give my 2 cents. I actually like the standard rims better than the modulars (they look great with the car, and resemble the 458 rims more than the modulars)! With regards to the grill, I was planning on getting one.. didn't get around to it for a while, and then when I was thinking of doing it my wife said she actually liked the looks of the red rear better. And I realized I had grown used to the car with the red and liked it. I still like the looks of the challenge grill, but for the price it isn't worth it to me anymore and I'm going to just leave the rear as it came from the factory. Since things like rims and grills are not cheap, I would recommend just enjoying the car as it is for a while and see if you really want the add ons.

There are not a lot of white Exiges in my area and I also rarely drives it but I remember one time going home in my Exige I saw another one coming on the other side. We both stared at each other in disbelieve. Its like there is a mirror there :) I'm guessing he must be your friend.

P.S. Its snowing right now. More coming tonight. Saturday also. Help!!!

Thanks! Just what I was looking for. The color is rosso corsa as I thought.

I agree also, I'm not a huge fan of the challenge grill. Apart from an exhaust (still undecided on that also) I'm not going to do much. I too love the modular wheels. I'd only swap them if I came across a set of stradale wheels and did a stradale bodykit to go with it.

If it has the factory exhaust I'd recommend an upgrade. I have a tubi which you can listen to and compare side by side with your car if you make it out to Chatham (I'm trying to give you a little extra incentive to get out of bed early-ha!) The standard exhaust muffles the sound way too much to me....better to hear these things in person, but here is a pretty good comparison video if you haven't seen it: Silver is stock, red Tubi, Yellow Capristo.

+1 with regards to the tubi. Have it on my spider and it adds a whole other dimension.
BTW..congrats and enjoy every moment. I know how you are feeling. Got mine last week. Getting the snow here too so it is quite depressing.

I'm definitely leaning towards the tubi, preferably with a good set of headers and test pipes. I agree I think you need I need to hear the car in person before making a decision. I'll definitely try to make one of the meets when I'm ready to start exhaust shopping.

BTW I had a few more questions I'm hoping someone can answer: I'm confused on a couple of things. Does this car have a separate button for the traction control? What does turning the sport button on do to the car? I also have a fog light button that when I click it shows as active yet nothing lights up on the front of my car. Is that a euro car thing? Not sure what every button does on the left side of the steering wheel.

    Thanks!

    Hi..

In Europe a rear foglight is required by law in most countries. Try looking at your rear lights when you activate the foglight switch.

Congrats on a very nice car! :)

One of those switches should be labeled "ASR", that disables the T/C. As for sport mode (in your 6 speed car) it simply lets the reigns a little looser on the traction control in addition to increasing the dampening of the shocks. (ie: firmer ride)

That's all correct- I drove my car a bunch in regular mode to get used to the power/handling...maybe several hundred miles before I put it into Sport for some quick agressive driving. Well, I tried the sport mode the day I got the car and all, but I didn't push the car in sport mode until I knew the car well. Once you get used to the feel of the car, in sport mode you can slip the rear tires a little, which is pretty cool on a tight turn say- the balance of the car, low center of gravity and feedback through the steering & seat-of-the-pants is second to none. That said, even when having some fun on deserted back roads, I usually leave the car in regular mode vs. sport, probably a function of the smoothness of the given road I'm on as sport is a tight suspension setting.

Regarding traction contol off (the ASR with a slash through it), I wouldn't recommend turning that off anywhere but on a track. Even in sport mode with the increased allowance of skid/wheel spin, the computers are doing their stuff and saving you a** more than you realize. Yes this is a decade old sports car, but it still has some very very good power and acceleration- enough to get you into trouble quick w/no ASR on a public street.

Thanks guys! One final question, how the heck do I set the clock?

I hooked the battery up to an outlet today so she's good to go until this damn snow ends.
